Oh and to answer the pimp question: no he wasn't. He was around pimps a lot so he decided to put that in his raps. I think he did talk about actually being a pimp but usually stories like that are nonsense. Like the one with Snoop. The only rapper I know that was really a pimp was probably Too $hort.

Oh okay I see. So when Ice was in "Pimps Up, Hoes Down", he was just a willing attendee. lol

Basically.

As far as I think of Ice T, professionally he pioneered gangsta rap, otherwise, don't know how to feel about him and Coco. She's not even that cute.

come tim, you know he doesn't care. You seem those tits & ass? i am sure that is A&B of why he got with her lol

But they're plastic.

Ice-T may be considered a has-been and a fool for some of the things he´s doing these days but you gotta give props where props are due. Ice is one of the last TRUE Hip Hop heads from day one.

He´s always had very strong connections with the Eastcoast/NYC, always traveled to NYC and kept in touch with the real Hip Hop and Zulu movement there, in fact he is one of the Zulu Kings (with Melle Mel, Afrika Islam etc.), he´s always paid his respect to NYC and the old school, while at the same time putting L.A on the map.

He is considered the pioneer of Gangsta Rap but he has also admitted that his rap 6 In the Morning was actually based on P.S.K (Park Side Killers) by Schooly D ( not the lyrics, but the style, the way he raps, his cadence and flow).

Ice has come a loooooong way from being a small time criminal to being a half decent actor, and he has always been one of the smartest, most articulate rappers ever.

His debut album is VERY underrated. Many folks remember him for Copkiller with Bodycount or the Power album because of its sexy cover with Darlene Ortiz, his ex-GF and mother of his son, but in my opinion, his debut album Rhyme Pays is still one of the best albums of all time, it has basically not a single filler track and it is political, funny, fast, primitive, eloquent and hard, all at the same time.

His first record, and one of the first Californian rap records ever, was produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and that´s not the only Prince connection....Ice talked about Prince being WB´s unhappy bitch waaaaaaay before the namechange/slave era of Prince, as early as in 1989.

One can disagree with Ice-T´s current work and persona, and I dislike Coco, but he is one of the true Hip Hop legends. He´s been a true Zulu, a true Hip Hop head since day one.

I've always respected Ice T in the hip hop game and the metal material with Body Count. He was one of the first black artists to put Axl Rose on blast (as a racist) when he refused to have Body Count open for GnR. I also like his work on "Law And Order".

But I'm about to put him the W.T.F category along with Eddie Murphy and Mel B. How did he let Darlene go??!? Did he kick her to the curb?
