One of the few great R&B songs of the 90s.I like this one the chorus is so addictive

This CD has been on my "Wish List" for about a year now, once I realized it was no longer in my collection. "Candy Rain" never fails to have me dancing and singing along.

Loved this song so much when it was always on the radio! When I saw the video with the Heavy D remix, I got real excited!

This song really epitomizes Heavy D's fun, lighthearted spirit, and how he loved to dance. I was surprised when I saw him recently in "Tower Heist", even though I remembered that it was the last movie he had been working on before we lost him. May Heavy D be resting peacefully.

I was shocked by his death too, but also relieved he got to perform Jam once with Latoya. He was way too young. Every time I hear Jam come on on my ipod and his rap comes in, I remember he and MJ are together now.

I hadn't reflected on that until this moment.

Aw sorry to make you sad. Losing MJ still makes me so sad, but I try to find the beauty in his transition too, though it was so wrong and untimely :*(

Good song from a good debut album. Unfortunately the follow up did not live up to the debut album. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

The entire album was good...every little thing I do all the way to the outro. What happened to these guys? 1 over Jordan...the greatest since

This song takes me back to late '94.We had a local R&B station that wore this song out.It seemed like they played it once every hour

Oh shit, this right here is still the jam!
This is one of those songs that even the little kids know. It's cemented in pop culture.
It's shame they didn't take off. This is the only song I know by them.

This one and "Every little thing you do" are the only two songs I know of them. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I think those were their only hits? I don't even recall their second album.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Well "Every little thing you do" was on the 2nd album as I recall. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

"Every Little Thing I Do" was on the debut; it was the follow up to "Candy Rain."
I also liked the third single, "If You Want It":

Ok I stand corrected. What was on their 2nd album then? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Soul for Real's second album, For Life, was produced by Sean Combs and released on September 24, 1996. The album peaked at #119 on the Billboard 200.The first single "Never Felt This Way Before" failed to chart but the album's second single "Love You So" peaked at #64 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in 1997.

Produced by Sean Combs, you say? No wonder is flopped.
P. Diddy has ruined so many careers it's not even funny.

I was thinking the same thing "Candy Rain" is a fun, infectious tune with a hook that you can't get out of your head. The two singles from the second album (posted above) are bland, forgettable R&B tunes that go nowhere.

Took the words out of my mouth. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

His ass know what he's doing. He's rich as fuck while his acts are struggling to get a gig at Applebee's.
