I'd say more like it's the DJs who did. can't say it's surpsing though as the physical singles market has pretty much died long ago, sadly.

The CD single that I own have the remix both with and without the rap. I don't know. For me, this was one of those rare ocassions where the rap actually help to enhance the song. But, I do agree with you. Even without the rap, this was simply a stunning remix!

Yeah, that rap is pretty bad. I always played the version without the rap also. It's on the cd single I have also.

I always heard the rap version and didnt get into it much...it was until KMOJ in Minneapolis played that version I actually heard the Loose Ends sample more clearly and defined...

That was a good one!

Her last David Morales mix had to have been It's Like That & Say Something I believe. I wonder if she just didnt have time or cashflow....

^ I remember her mentioning that Morales had actually retired from remixing a while ago but did those new remixes for her out of their friendship.

this one is phenomenal. despite her not re-doing the entire vocals, but the new bits she added with her backup singers were fantastic.

that said, this would be my favorite ever Mariah/Morales moment. pure perfection:
