Gang Bang vs Government Hooker

First off let me say I don't think these 2 tracks sound a like but they are both feirce songs that I love. I know MDNA technically hasn't dropped yet but by now almost everyone has heard Gang Bang and seems to love it. So which song do you love more?? Right now i'm gonna say Gang Bang. This is one of Madge's finest moments not only on MDNA but maybe in her entire career. I loved it from the first time I heard it. I had the same feeling when I first heard Government Hooker.

What do you guys think???

Gang Bang - best song on the album MDNA. cool
Government Hooker - not even in the top 3 album Born This Way.

GB wins it for me. Although in general the albums around the same level.

Good one! You could also Britney's "Get naked"

Gang Bang made a big impression, but it might get boring very quickly.

Have to go for GH, especially for the male voice in it....so sexy!

MDNA is being completely overrated by fans, although I am begining to like it more and more on each listen, its by no means the best thing Madonna's ever done. Also Gaga's voice is much more pleasant to listen to than Madonnas voice these days so I'm going to have to go with Government Hooker even though its not one of my favourite from Born This Way.

Wow so far GH seems to be winning. You know I was thinking about Madge's voice as I was listening to her album yesterday and I was thinking to myself, I know she doesn't have the strongest voice but I appreciate how pure and simple it is. These days I think a lot of singers over sing and yes Gaga can be guilty of that at times. It's nice to hear someone simply just sing a song without vocal acrobatics for a change. I know Madge doesn't have the biggest range but I just appreciate how simple her voice is.

Excluding Confessions, most of Madonna's post-Music stuff has been pretty lame. Gang Bang is great but only because she's taking a cue from Lady Gaga.

I don't care much for Gaga - but that doesn't stop me from recognizing that these days she does Madonna better than Madonna. I'm glad the competition seems to have lit a fire in Madonna but I wonder if it's too late. I've heard the new cd and, in my opinion, other than 3 songs (Girl Gone Wild, I'm Addicted and Gang Bang) it's pretty boring.

I think if Madonna stopped worrying about perfecting her british accent and trying to seem intellectually advanced over everyone - and started worrying about making incredible pop music - she'd have a lot more to offer.

since i can't seem to listen to the full gang bang anymore after the first two times

(it's just too much, that last minute and a half, lol) i'd probably have to go for GH

as well. one of the few songs on BTW that i actually liked.

altho i have to admit that the one line that pops into my head at least 25 times a

day lately is "bang bang shot you dead, shot my lover in the head".

which is slightly alarming lol

and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Madonna has not released a song as good as "Government Hooker" in nigh-over 10 years.

Thats a great point! I always wonder why, as a bigger fan of Madonna as a whole, I'm always so much more on Gaga's side these days. And thats exactly the reason! After the Music album Madonna just hasnt seemed fully there. I feel like she retired in 2003 and some completely out of the loop imposter took over her place. Although Gaga is a full on xerox of Madonna, she does it soooo well, and has the pure quality I miss and wish Madonna still had.

i guess i don't see the comparison of the two songs...

"Gang Bang" has been totally overhype and overrated imo. it's not one of my favorites from the new one at all. espcially after i heard the traci (tracie?) lords "control" song that sounds exactly like it from like 1997

best cuts from mdna (so far without hearing it in hq)
