I know some big B fans that even think she should take some time off to take care of her new born baby... Like you said more power to her if she can balance breasting feeding 3-4 hours and do a show at the same time...

How does doing 3 concerts mean that she considers being in the spotlight is more important than raising a baby? Like someone else pointed out, being @ home with your baby 24/7 doesn't necessarily make you a "better" mom. Yeah she probably has nannies but what's wrong with that and what's wrong with going back to work 2, 3 months after the birth of your child? I can name a plenty of singers/actresses who'd done that. Oh and reality check...that's what a lot of working moms actually do in real life.

You know, I thought about maternity leave too. I think the average person (at least posting in here) is just weary of the girl.

The baby was JUST BORN. It is essential at this stage that Beyonce is taking care of her baby. That does not imply that she should stay home all day but since the baby has been born Beyonce has TO ME shown that she really care less about raising her child and cares more about "Beyonce" being the spotlight... If she wants to be out there and enjoys it more power to her but its not essential or necessary that she does 3 shows. The whole world is not going to come to an end

And PLEASE dont compare a MILLIONAIRE to a MIDDLE CLASS person....A middle class, working class couldnt afford to take a year off or even 6 months after having a child of course they would have to go right back to working.. THEY NEED THE MONEY Beyonce doesnt need the money or is in a situation where she HAS to immediately get back to working. She CHOOSES to and once again I aint mad at her for that and wish her the best of luck with it but right now would have been a GREAT time to take a much needed break... The nannies are going to end up raising that child and the rest of the kids, if they have more. I was hoping she wouldn't go that route, but as mjscarousal said, raising a child isn't Bey's priority. It shows. I mean even Mariah took up a lot of time with her babies right after they were born. You couldn't see Mariah anywhere, know why? Because she was out of the spotlight and bonding with her babies (oh and losing weight too). I'm not a big Mariah fan, but damn, at least I can say I can respect the woman as a mother. Bey? Most celebrities I read don't even spend an hour with the child because of whatever appointment they have. Ray Charles and James Brown hardly spent two weeks with their children before having to do concerts. So it's probably the norm. Beyonce won't be any different.
