^^ He's still battling the Westbound founder for stolen royalties but yeah the rappers who have money could give him some. I don't know what this fundraiser would do.

When they said that on "Unsung", I remember facepalming. Like "wow George..." I think he gets paid off "Atomic Dog" though, that should be enough, right?

I almost fainted when I saw that on Unsung. His music layered the hip hop sound of the late 80's and 90's

Why is the goal only $50,000? Welp, $16k more to go and he's good. Still a shame that he needs any kind of money after all the top quality funk music he put out.

It kinda reminds me of James Brown's situation. I don't think James' estate gets paid off the billion samples from hip-hop records either. I think his music masters were sold or something...

Ok so what if the shout out is just the mention of your name- not even a "whassup" or "love to so and so"? Who still reads credits anyway?

$5000 for a year long pass to all gigs? Add to that your plane fair, hotel stay, your ride, food & liquor and you've spent more than $5000. Plus you only get 2 passes? I'd sell them both on e-Bay but I probably still wouldn't get $5000.

I feel slightly less sorry for George just for the fact that he trusted dude on face value with his life savings. Even looking at Armen Boladian and he fits the stereotype of a mobster... I don't think George has hell of a chance to get his musical rights back unless Boladian dies before he does. And even then, I hope George's family at least battles Boladian's estate.

Of course. He was tripping off acid then. When you're on that stuff, you don't think straight. I think weed smokers are more thorough about what's going on around them to a certain degree... Besides, George gets money off "Atomic Dog"... I'm guessing if he hadn't sold much of his other rights to Boladian especially his Westbound recordings, he'd been a billionaire, right?

Ohhh... I forgot about Overton. I had read his name numerous times.

I mentioned just two projects, but Overton also created the cover art for the Parliament album Gloryhallastoopid.
