Hey, pre-westbound, pre-mercury Players are nice. They got a whole different groocve. Like some Nothern Soul stuff.

They were the house band for Compass records. Yeah, this cut can be found on their 67 or 68 ( I can't remember) "First Impression" album. Compass just gathered their 45 single releases and made an album. It's always cool to hear a band at the very begining... I always wonder what's the process to find, mold and/or jell "your sound" and when do you know you've got it?
