R.I.P Ronnie Montrose

This from the one of my favourite debut albums. It also gave us Sammy Hagar.

Sad. Ronnie was battling cancer for quite some time. He was only 64.

Waiting to hear a statement from Sammy. The 1st record is classic....R.I.P.

He was a really fine guitar player. I saw him with The Edgar Winter Group, and with his group Montrose. R.I.P.

I made a thread about the first Montrose album but Luv4u locked it confused

It was in tribute to Ronnie but it was about the album more then anything...

It's not like there's a new Montrose thread every day like that other M Guy lol

LOL. My thread got locked too, but this one was created first so no biggie.

I had the privilege of seeing Montrose in '77 or '78, whenever they were touring for their second album.

It was awesome.
