Russell Elevado on D'Angelo's coming album

http://read.mtvhive.com/2...new-album/

"There’s nothing that sounds like this album at all. It’s on a different level. It’s a different style of song writing; he’s been writing a lot of songs on the guitar as opposed to with Voodoo which was written on the keyboards, so that approach alone gives the songs a different type of energy."

But... seems like they're still very much in the process of recording. I thought (hoped) by now they are basically close to the finish line. We'll see... neutral

Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?

Hey, thanks fer the update; although I'm of the notion that if D'Angelo never releases

another album again, I'm set.

Mozart, Beethoven, Davis, Monk, Coltrane, Bach, The Beatles...sigh.

EDIT: I forgot to include the Scousers.

By talking the album up these insiders are doing D'Angelo no favours. He and his team should keep their mouths shut and get the damn album out there and let it speak for itself.

You mad? lol

D'angelo take as long as you want. I rather have perfection, than something thrown together.

Very glad to hear that Russell is still involved and excited about it cool

His engineering and mixing work on Voodoo was PHENOMENAL, and significantly added to the beauty of the listening experience of that album.

As an engineer, I have the utmost respect for his work. Voodoo is a gold standard reference for the r&b/soul music.

Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

Interesting interview, sounds the album will be fantastic. Unfortunately, it seems like it is a little way off yet. Leave it a little raw and release it already, D!

Meanwhile I am diggin some of the new songs from the Paris concert, 'Ain't that easy' is the favourite so far.

And I am praying that '1000 deaths' is on the new album. It sure is funky.
