The disdain for this woman is unbelievable!

[Edited 2/26/12 9:46am]

i'd call it aversion.

especially when you look about and see this woman's influence on young black females. (not to mention urban females of other racial groups who want to be like nicki.)

in essense, nicki minaj has become an icon. while it is unfortunant that many non-liberals think she represents the mentality of today's young black female entertainers and her followers.

sadly, during lunch last week i overheard some (white) females at a table near mine say "that nicki minaj is such a slut." then the other lady said, "well, she doesn't fall far from the tree."

when they noticed my looking over at them, they changed the subject.

no it's not disdain. it's not who she is, it's how she represents herself and how she is influencing our youth.

once again, i post these examples of n. minaj's influence:

cute maybe.
Thumbnailclick here to view: Sophia Grace's Show Stopping Performance! singing 'superbass.'
(questionable lyrics for children of this age to perform with word-lyrics (from superbass) such as the following:
~
And he ill, he real, he might got a deal
He pop bottles and he got the right kind of build
He cold, he dope, he might sell coke
He always in the air, but he never fly coach

He a muthafuckin trip, trip, sailor of the ship, ship
When he make it drip, drip kiss him on the lip, lip
That's the kind of dude I was lookin' for
And yes you'll get slapped if you're lookin' ho
and (same song)

And I think I like him better with the fitted cap on
He ain't even gotta try to put the mac on
He just gotta give me that look, when he give me that look
Then the panties comin' off, off, unh
**********************************************************************************************************************

it's apparent nicki's influence over the very young has become strong. already there have been fights in a few elementary schools because of young females (and males) egging each other on because of being called "stupid hoe."

nope, it is more serious then disdain. it's wondering why this beautiful lady has let herself become a non-thinking zombie for fame and for the profits of the record companies at any price, while scarificing the dignity of our female youths.

Rapper, Chubb Rock said it best year ago. He said, "If a 3 minute rap song can undo what I as a parent have taught my kids, then it is not the fault of the rapper or the songs they sing. It is purely my fault as a parent for not reinforcing what I have taught them." I agree with this, whole heartley. Nicki's job is to entertain. While she may be a role model, she is a role model by default. Most of today's youth are exposed to much without explaintation, by parents who claim to have more important things to do, than providing the explaination.

clapping nothing but the truth.

And free....i've been reading your posts and your position is well presented and 100% valid but we can't fault Nicki and her image team for giving us something that we've already received dozens of times over. We had Lil Kim giving us the koolaid wigs and the explicit sexual lyrics. We had Foxy Brown showing more skin than was necessary and cussing her way through rhyme after rhyme and we've had....drumroll please....the entire cosmetics industry defining what is beautiful and sexy for ALL women and quite a few men. If we have an aversion to Minaj then we must have it to a great number of women in the music industry.

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!
RIP Dick Clark, Whitney Houston, Don Cornelius, Heavy D, and Donna Summer. rose
