Once TV One finishes the UnSung documentaries on

70's and 80'a R&B artists and I am pretty sure they have long way to go.

Do you think they will move on to talk about R&B artists in the 90's and if they do which R&B artists do you think are unsung.

Well, they could start with Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat, Nas, Chante Moore, and even Toni Braxton. Yes, I know Toni Braxton was huge for a bit in the 1990's, but she eventually got eclipsed by Mary J. Blige. They could also do a show about Mint Condition.

That's not a bad idea at all, many of the people Huey mentioned are eligible for one. It may take some years but I'd watch them.

Guy, Keith Sweat, Mint Condition, LeVert/Gerald Levert and TROOP would be a good start.

I'd love to see one about After 7, having heard Ready or Not for the umpteenth time it still sounds great, The Babyface template worked a miracle with that song. Maybe because they were family of Kenny, his songs suited them well, but three real albums seems sad for them to have.

I hope to see an "Unsung" on J Dilla one day. Plus, it would be nice to see more hip-hop acts too.

J Dilla is a good choice. I want one on Brownstone and Groove Theory.

Didn't Kwame just have one hit song?

Still confused on the definition of unsung. So many of the artists mentioned i.e. Keith Sweat, Guy, Toni Braxton, etc. were pretty big at one time.

I'd like to see one on 90's acts like, Groove Theory, Tracie Spencer, Shanice Wilson, Kwame & Neneh Cherry. Although, I question the qualifications of some of my picks too, as each have had moments of success.

Could Terence Trent D'arby be considered unsung? I'd like to see one on him, but he was huge at one point. He just didn't have the longevity that everyone expected. Although, I think he might be an 80's artist...

I love the "unsung" series.

great. informative. well thought out. thoughtful. classic footage.

I'm cool with them "going into the 90s"..

though for me, most of the 90s r&b/"soul" performers

are not as good or as compelling as the LEGENDS of the

60s, 70s & (up to the mid-) 80s.

& Keith Sweat???

UGH ! ! ! ! !

he WORE ME OUT with his ALMOST CONSTANT

WHINING & CRYING

in his songs

(what some - including him - would call "singing")

IF I am DRUNK OFF MY ASS - sufficiently - I could listen to.. almost all.. of

"make it last forever" - VERY LITTLE WHINING, comparatively speaking..

but the rest of his songs that I've had the MISFORTUNE to hear

"merry-go-round"

"you may be young but you're ready" (or whatever the hell that song is called..)

"keep it coming" (eh.. not too much here, either..)

& several other "ballads" which all (to me) sound like the same WHINING song..

& his lame cover of Slave's classic "touch of love"???

please.

I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

I don't think Keith Sweat and Toni Braxton qualify for Unsung, they're careers didn't get derailed by anything major. They just became unpopular as time went on. Unsung is for those who are forgotten and should be appreciated more for their work. Ready For The World and The Force MDs should definately have one. As someone mentioned earlier, Brownstone and Groove Therapy. And what about Gloria Gaynor?

Does anyone know where I can watch Shalamar's Unsung?

I don't want them to go into the 90s. Too recent. How did Biggie kill kwame's career?

Even though he is not a 90's star I think Peabo Bryson is overdue for an UnSung.

Luther Vandross he was still relevant in thr 90's,
