It's only a few days away my friend. So far from what I've read on the org. (and other sites) the posts are nothing but positive.

With the new VH, Sabbath, Aero, KISS and (hopefully) D'angelo, 2012 could be a good year.

And RUSH!

Just spun an advance of this thing and IMO, it's no contest. Tip to wire, the best album of this year (and it's only February).

Van Halen. Who knew?

Nothin left but rubble & a HUGE grin here.

A new Aerosmith album would be fantastic. Wow, is rock finally coming back???

It's pretty obvious what I think of the new album.

The mighty VH has returned! And not just the same ol same ol. They've got a few new tricks as well.

Lawd lawd..ain't that true? Ed is ON one....fuck...all 4 of em are just stellar.

I can't help but think (and time will bear this out) that we have Wolfgang William Van Halen to thank primarilly for this affair.

He's the catalyst.

As far back as '07, I remember hearing tales of what respect he has for the band's legacy (even helped choose the setlist for that tour.....got deeper cuts into the mix).

I always thought that he was "not quite ready yet" for that tour. He was competent, but not any killer on bass.

Times have changed.

As he showed in the Cafe Wha? show......he's come of age. Further, with the status of the band (circa early 2012) severely in question (Ed's health & all the drama over these last couple decades), I think it was probably Wolf who got his dad back in touch with his musical roots & vouched for Dave to be at the helm of this project.

I realize that I'm speculating, but it sure looks / feels that way to me.

I think this will be the last we'll get, they just needed to sign out on a high, like all the other old bands, they all seem to have made good albums in the last years of their career. I just hope we geta world tour.

cool

ahhh...I had a feeling this was what was meant...felt the same thing after they last toured with Roth. It takes a youngin to set old folks fighting to act right etc imo.

this is pretty accurate from what i hear. Also i dont believe Eddie would have reunited with DLR had it not been for the opportunity to play with his son. As much as it sucked to hear that Michael Anthony was not going to be part of the reunion, you have to respect and appreciate Eddie's love for Wolfgang and desire to pass on the VH legacy through his son. He said once that the best part of the last tour was looking over and seeing his son playing on stage with him.
