OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM JOYCE IRBY'S FACEBOOK PAGE

It is sometimes difficult to keep private matters private. And I'm not sure how long I will comment on this.In light of TMZ breaking a story about a matter between me and Lloyd,I would just like to say that I have always enjoyed facilitating young people in the music business. However, navigating fame can be very difficult for a person of any age, much less a young man or woman in their 20s.Believe it or not,it's hard out there for a new millionaire.WARNING....exceeding a 6 figure income may cause disorientation and blackouts.Actually, sometimes you may even display symptoms similiar to alien abduction...you know, enormous gaps in memory.I have loved and protected Lloyd like a son since he was 11 years old,and it saddens me that I have had to go the "legal" route to force him to keep his word (which fortunately I do have on paper),but his behavior has shown me the true meaning of that classic phrase..."What's love got to do with it?" I'm ridin' with Bernie Mac and Madea on this one....these new age kids!

Huh? nuts

I told y'all she fucked him against his will!!!!! She all but tattled on herself. HEATHEN!!!!!

hah! @ facilitating young people.

doh! @ what's love got to do with it.

What word she got? The word of an 11 year old? What word was that? No? Stop?

Her ass shoulda got the clink clink behind some bars. Old ass tramp. Yeah yeah she waited till he hit 16 so fuckin' what.

Sorry. #teamlloyd

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

She sang plenty of background vocals and even lead on their biggest slowjam, "I Miss You". Furthermore she (co)wrote/produced for Klymaxx'

catalogue and added that solid funkbass to their mix, with the title track "Girls Will Be Girls" as a good example. Credit where credit's due.

what does this have to do with the TOPIC at hand? and her demanding her former client find her JOB? Stay on topic here

just tried to prove the opposite, but whatever

but I just can't shake the feeling that this is one of those shady deals, like the one that Pebbles had when she was "managing" TLC.....an established artist taking advantage of a young, talented kid.It just doesn't feel right.

But how in the world did Joyce gain some management skills? Did she manage anyone else before Lloyd? I've just always seen her as that non singing ugly chick with Klymaxx. shrug

When she cut her solo album in 1989, she signed an unknown Dallas Austin as a

songwriter and producer. She also later signed young singer Sammie who had some

minor success in the late nineties before signing Lloyd.

Bernadette also manages young artists too.She is currently working with a girl band that she put together.

Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman
