DIRTY LOOPS - The Ultimate Cover Band?

Generally, the approach is to try and sound as much like the original recording as possible.
Three Swedes have taken an ambitious alternate route.
Using sharp musicianship and creative arrangements, they're making people take a second look (and in some cases a first look) at a set of fairly well known, if not well respected, Pop tunes.

Supposedly they're working on original material.
I'm very curious to see what direction they take.

Ottensen

JUST discovered them a few weeks ago talking to some folks at a jam session. When I hear them, I think, far so good, and I too am curious to hear what they'll sound like doing originals nod

Ottie & Gap, based on how they approached the arrangement of those covers, i'm guessing their orginal material might be in a similar vein. Kind of "Prog-Pop"?

If that's the case, although i'd love it, I don't see it flying with the general public. I hope i'm wrong.
