Will.i.am: Madonna will perform with LMFAO at the Super Bowl

Will.i.am has confirmed that LMFAO will perform with Madonna during the Half-Time Show at this year’s Super Bowl in America.

The duo, who are signed the Black Eyed Peas star’s Will.i.am Music Group, had been rumored as one of the surprise guests at the event on 5th February.

Speaking to Capital FM about Madonna’s set, Will.i.am, who performed last year’s Half-Time Show with Black Eyed Peas, said he was going to attend the game to watch LMFAO.

He said…

I’m going to the Super Bowl this year to see my group LMFAO perform with Madonna
Check that out, Will.i.am Music Group is pretty freaking two for two. One year the Super Bowl the next year another group part of the Super Bowl in collaboration with Madonna. That’s still happening.

Nicki Minaj and M.I.A have also been linked to Madonna’s Half-Time Show performance as they feature on her new single ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’.

But Madonna has so far refused to confirm the acts, only hinting recently that the performance will feature pom-poms.

The Super Bowl, which consistency attracts one of the biggest global TV audiences, will take place on 5th February at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

That's what is so baffling. Last year's Super Bowl halftime act, The Black Eyed Peas had to bring out Usher and someone else to perform with. I'm not a fan of Madonna but she has a good enough pedigree to play her catalogue of hits with a band and a band alone. That's why her "I haven't gotten mainstream like Janet" comment makes me laugh, because she's pandering to a youth market by bringing on LMFAO, Cee-Lo and Nicki Minaj.

Back in '07 leading up to Prince's halftime show, if Prince would have played with Lil Wayne, Keri Hilson or sub-par pop act I would die of cardiac arrest.

I would have been falling right on top of you....just reading Prince and Lil Wayne let alone typing it, if definitely enough to dial up a f'ng stroke!

First I was nervous about her performing, then I came around a tinsy tiny bit, then the announcement of Nikki and M.I.A killed it for me. now this latest nonsense about the nipple and other possible collabo's.....screams lack of confidence to me. I love Madonna, but there is no way she needs to be relevant to the kids. Everyone after her copied her, so I just can't wrap my head around this show AT ALL!!!

On another note those promo pics are the bizznezz, especially the helmet one.

DrownedMadonna.com heard that Stuart Price and William Obit did mixes of some Madonna's classics for Madonna's Super Bowl long-awaited performance, and are meant to be mixed into each other to create a MASH-UP.

Without ruining plans for a surprise for the her show, we decided just to reveal that Give Me All Your Luvin' is blending into Hung Up through the guitar solo. Keep in mind that it is still subject to changes. Also the mash-up originally included more tracks than what they are currently rehearsing.

The show is being described to DrownedMadonna.com as "a magnificent symphony of visuals." Expect the unexpected!

Jamie King to direct Super Bowl halftime show
GAYLE WORLAND | Wisconsin State Journal | gworland@madison.com | Posted: Saturday, January 28, 2012 6:00 pm

As tens of millions watch Madonna take the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show next Sunday, Jamie King expects to be in a production truck near the field watching the spectacle — his spectacle — unfold on video monitors.
....
And in a career full of apexes, 2012 promises even greater heights. Though this is his third Super Bowl (he appeared as a dancer with Michael Jackson in 1993 and choreographed Diana Ross' halftime show three years later), it's his first as a director — a no-brainer, since he's been Madonna's creative director for well over a decade.
....
What can he reveal about the Super Bowl halftime show?
"Oh, that's not fair," he said, laughing. "Well, it is Madonna, so expect the unexpected, right? In our 16 years of working together, we like to make people 'wait' for it."

I'm watching Prince's Super Bowl halftime show once Madonna's begin. By the time, I'm' finished watching Prince's halftime show, the start of the third quarter will begin. But something tells me the game will live up to the hype and make Madonna's irrevelant.

For example, hardly any football fans hardly remember Tom Petty's halftime show, because Eli's two minute drive to win the game made that SB so memorable whereas the game of Super Bowl 41 was a stinker, and the saving grace was P.

Super Bowl Half Time Show
Madonna Super Bowl Show: What Madonna is currently rehearsing
DrownedMadonna.com learnt what Madonna is currently rehearsing for the Super Bowl Half Time Show this Sunday, February 5. As we told you on our latest news about the Super Bowl, we do not want to ruin the surprise. Therefore, we took several hours to decide if we had to post it or not. Since things are still subject to changes and the setlist is partially leaking anyway, we finally decided to share what we heard.

If you do not want to ruin the surprise, do not read what follow.

Here are the songs that Madonna is currently rehearsing and planning to perform as part of a MASH-UP, with Give Me All Your Luvin' taking more time:

Give Me All Your Luvin'
Hung Up
Vogue
Like a Prayer
Ray of Light
Music

Holiday was also mixed and rehearsed, but now we may just get some element of this 80's classic throughout another song, like Into The Groove had bits of Jump for the Sticky & Sweet Tour. But, keep in mind that Madonna could change her mind and actually perform Holiday as part of the MASH-UP.

hmmm that's a good setlist, but it's a shame that "Holiday" is not included. In America, the SuperBowl is treated like a holiday for the most part,so that song would have fit perfectly.Plus, that was her first big hit so it would have been interesting to kick off her performance with a song that goes back to her roots. It's odd that she is only performing one song from the 80s.A mainstream audience like this would be much more familiar with "Into The Groove" than, say "Hung Up".

Top 5 Predictions for Super Bowl 46 – a Fan’s Opinion

Printable View

Return to Original

Super Bowl XLVI offers up many possibilities as we will be treated to a rematch of the big game from 2008. Everyone has their own thoughts as to what they think will happen. Here are my thoughts:

Madonna performing at Live8
Wikimedia Commons

Be ready to Salsa!

The New England Patriots have the second worst pass defense in the league. Victor Cruz has over 1500 yards receiving this season. He just put up 142 yards while being covered by San Francisco's Pro Bowl cornerback, Carlos Rogers. The Patriots do not have a Pro Bowl cornerback. Cruz should have himself a fiesta in the New England secondary. With Eli doing a great job of reading the coverage, look for the Giants WRs to have some big catches. And Victor Cruz will get his chance to dance.

Prediction: Victor Cruz TD in the 2nd quarter.

Return of the Gronk

Although his status for the big game has some people unsure what to expect, I can't imagine Rob Gronkowski missing this one. He is coming off a record breaking season for tight ends and I doubt he'll be watching this one from the sideline. His mobility will definitely hinder his chances of making those big pass plays down the field, but he'll make his presence known in the red zone.

Prediction: Aaron Hernandez gets the yards, but the Gronk gets the scores.

Madonna stuns the crowd

The halftime show will feature the Queen of Pop and I got a strange feeling she's going to do something wild. There has been some recent controversy about comparisons between her another risqué performer, Lady Gaga. Madonna hasn't done anything scandalous in a while so this would be a perfect opportunity to make headlines. She will be accompanied by Nicki Minaj and Cee-Lo so the opportunity for craziness is certainly there.

Prediction: I'm not sure what exactly she'll do, but have your E*Trade baby shocked face ready.

Big passing play

It is rare to see a 99 yard touchdown pass in a game. In the history of the NFL It has only occurred 11 times coming into the 2011 season. Well, it happened twice this year. And it just so happens that both the teams that made these big plays are playing against each other in the Super Bowl. Tom Brady connected to Wes Welker for a 99 yard TD against the Miami Dolphins in the first week of the season. Eli Manning did the same thing to Victor Cruz against the New York Jets in week 16. There is no question that both these teams can make big plays.

Prediction: A 75+ yard TD pass play. I nominate Hakeem Nicks or Deion Branch to be the recipient of the Super Bowl's biggest play.

The Patriots will win the Super Bowl

Although both defenses have been playing a lot better recently, this game should be filled with a lot of offense. Both teams with have their moments, but Tom Brady and the Patriots will come through when it counts the most.

Prediction: Tom Brady throws 5 TDs, wins Super Bowl MVP.

Super Bowl: Nicki Minaj tweets about performing with Madonna in halftime show

Nicki Minaj will be performing with Madonna at the Super Bowl

Slowly but surely, the plans for Madonna's big Super Bowl halftime show are coming into focus, and the latest bit to fall into place is Nicki Minaj. In response to a fan's Twitter question, "What does your agenda contain today, Nic?" the singer replied, "Super Bowl rehearsals w/the Queen wink."

Because it's highly unlikely that Queen Elizabeth will be bringing herself to Indianapolis on Sunday, Minaj can only mean Madonna, the so-called Queen of Pop.

Madonna's 12-minute set, which is also to include a guest performance by party-boy rockers LMFAO, may have already been semi-revealed by NFL Magazine, which wrote, "Though Madonna's set list was not officially announced at press time, fans might expect her to give all her luvvin', provide a ray of light and be in vogue with her music." (What are the chances fans will be hearing her new single "Give Me All Your Luvvin," "Ray of Light" and "Vogue" during the show?)

"Give Me All Your Luvvin" is a collaboration between Madonna and Minaj.

The Queen recently confessed to some performance nerves to ABC News, revealing that she's challenged by the physical and time constraints of the Super Bowl gig. "I have eight minutes to set up my stage, 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on Earth, and I have seven minutes to take it down. So, that football field is clean for the second half of the game," she said. "How do you do that?"

She mentioned her plan to have 100 drummers descend from the roof of Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium, thwarted because the structure would not have been able to support them. But she's been thinking and planning away since then, so it's assured she's come up with something she's satisfied with.

Or, in the words of Minaj, answering another question about how the rehearsal went, it will be: "Epic of course."

M.I.A. discusses the SuperBowl

http://www.madonnara...nd-nicki-minaj/
M.I.A.: Yes, I’m going to the Super Bowl with Madonna and Nicki Minaj!

M.I.A. speaks with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe on her upcoming performance with Madonna at Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show and collaborating with the queen of pop.

On performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis…

Yes, I’m going to the Super Bowl. Actually I’ve never been to the Super Bowl, so it’s my first time. I’m going to be performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj. If you’re gonna go to the Super Bowl, you might as well go there with America’s biggest female icons.

On collaborating with pop royalty…

She is the original. If you’re gonna support someone, that’s a pretty dope achievement. I’m sure my mum is gonna be way [more] into that than me putting ‘Galang’ out.

On why she wanted to work with Madge…

As musicians, we’re two women and we represent two opposite sides of the world. If we can come together on a piece of music or something like the Super Bowl, I feel like that’s actually a cool thing to see this year because it’s getting silly out there.

Gossip: Madonna Cracks The Whip During Rehearsals For The "Super Bowl Halftime Show"
Madonna has been cracking the whip in rehearsals with co-stars Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. to make sure the "Super Bowl Halftime Show", at "Lucas Oil Stadium", Indianapolis, on Sunday February 5th, 2012, goes down in history.

The rappers have collaborated with Madonna on her new single "Give Me All Your Luvin'", which they'll perform during halftime.

A source said:

"Madonna has been brutal in rehearsals. Although they've been having a laugh, they've been doing up to 12 hours in a New York studio.

"She's saying they can sleep after the 'Super Bowl'. She's involved in every aspect of the show, including Nicki and M.I.A's outfits."

"Nicki has been telling pals it's the most gruelling thing she has ever done and wouldn't expect anything else, calling it an 'epic learning experience'."
