The Running Errands Set

Decided to get out of the office and take care of a few things and kept track of the music I heard in the process.

Rolling Stones...

...Gimme Shelter (Car radio - 100.3 FM - The Sound)

After hearing this song a gazillion times, the part I wait for are the Merry Clayton vocals.
Especiall at the 3:02 mark where it sounds as if her vocal cords explode.
I guess today's "producers" would make her re-record that part.

Donald Fagen...

...Ruby Baby (While in CVS)

Great version of the Leiber/Stoller classic.

AC/DC...

...You Shook Me All Night Long (While in Subway)

Almost went into some "air guitar" while waiting for my sandwich.

Clifford Brown/Max Roach...

...Joy Spring (Car radio- Sirius/XM - Real Jazz)

Clifford Brown was a seriously good trumpet player that left us much too early (25 years old).

The Power Station...

...She Can Rock It (Car CD player)

Maybe the last project by former Chic bassist Bernard Edwards.
He took the bass reins from John Taylor for the band's second and final record.

MadamGoodnight

Today while running errands I listened to

Loose Booty, by Sly and The Family Stone (on repeat, funked all the way through traffic lol )

Loving You, by the O'Jays (classic soul slow jam)

Just To Be Close To You, by The Commodores (Lionel in Alabama mode, talking about "purpose")

Brown Eyed Girl, by The Isley Brothers (I have brown eyes)

It's A Family Affair, by Sly And The Family Stone (holiday season, thinking about crazy family members I'm about to see)

Spinning Around, by The Main Ingredient (nice harmony, and lyrics)

Mind Blowing Decision, by Heatwave (thought about the lead singer, RIP)
