Disco Songs by Non Disco Artists

Bee Gees was considered Disco group because of their music from the Saturday Night Fever Sountrack but they didnt start of that way and they hated being labeled a Disco band.

Take Me Home - Cher

Goodnight Tonight - Paul McCartney (sounds disco to me)

Oh What a Night - Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

Fame - David Bowie

I Miss You - Rolling Stones

anymore?.......

I wouldn't necessarily call "Fame" a "disco" song, it sounded more like "funk" than "disco".

In the disco era,it was amazing how many 'non-disco artists' came out with disco records lol By 1979,disco had taken over,to the point where even rock bands were toying with a disco sound....

"I Was Made For Lovin' You" by KISS

"Shine A Little Love" by Electric Light Orchestra

"The Main Event/Fight" by Barbara Streisand

"Take Me Home" by Cher

"Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" by Rod Stewart

and although it's not technically a 'disco song',The Rolling Stone's "Miss You" has a disco-ish beat.

Bryan Adams was a popular 80s rock star but in 1979,he began with his career with "Let Me Take You Dancing",a disco song that he would rather forget lol

Even Martha Reeves got into the disco. She put out a song back in 1978 called "Free Again" (it's a cover but I forgot who did it first) and she did a "disco" version of "Dancing in the Streets" (released as "Skating in the Streets"). lol

even Isaac Hayes jumped on the disco bandwagon lol He said that, after hearing Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy",it inspired him to do a disco song of his own...

"Don't Let Go" by Isaac Hayes (1979)

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Don't know if i would consider Emotional Rescue a disco tune

but it's probably my favorite pop tune of the 80's.

Marvin's GTGIU (the full version) is so funky, I can't really call it "disco". It's a mock "disco" record.
