The Aristocrats - featuring Guthrie Govan

I stumbled into Guthrie Govan some years ago while looking for something else on YouTube.
He had a series of videos where he would play against tracks supposedly created in the style of a number well known players.

Here in the band context of The Aristocrats, he shows he's not just another shredder type but can actually write interesting compositions.

I have no idea how Guthrie gets overlooked so much on these "greatest guitarists" lists.

Maybe because he doesn't act like a douchebag? lol

Agreed. That's why those lists are total b.s.
Yes, the "douchebag" factor seems to be an integral component to the success of many these days...unfortunately.
