Kool & The Gang: Tonight

Probably their best JT era single.

Their best JT-era joints were Get Down on It and Take My Heart. But Tonight's a nice joint.

I'm a Jersey Girl and I'm ashamed to admit that I'm just discovering the pre-JT "Kool and the Gang". The only pre-JT songs I knew were "Jungle Boogie" and "Summer Madness". These guys were on another level in the '70s!!

I just ordered "Wild and Peaceful", "Light Of Worlds", "Love and Understanding" and "Open Sesame". I'm in K&TG HEAVEN!!!!! They were as funky as they were jazzy and as jazzy as they were funky!!!

BADASSES FOR REAL!

For me, Ladies night is still their best one! Preferably the 12" version.

It's good but R&B radio plays it to death like Kook & the Gang was a one hit wonder or something. rolleyes So for me I've just heard "ladies night" entirely too much and sick of it. lol

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
