(Deluxe edition)

October 11, 2011

Rihanna strikes a sassy pose on the close-up cover of her sixth album Talk That Talk.

The pop vixen licks her lips as she grips her forehead on the attitude-oozing artwork for the standard edition, with the album’s title tatted on her arm.

She also unveils a second black-and-white image for the deluxe where smoke billows from her mouth as she gazes into the camera with piercing eyes.

The album, due November 21, features the single “We Found Love” produced by Calvin Harris.

The Melina-directed video, which she considers her best yet, will premiere later this month. “Saw the first cut for #WFL video today! Aw man, brace ya’self! Made me tear up like a lil bitch!!!” tweeted RiRi.

Didn't she just come out with an album? Didn't it have a high and tight shot on the cover too?

TAKE A FUCKIN VACATION.

It's alright. I don't think I love anyone's cover this year except Mary.

Can someone please explain the need to have a standard edition AND deluxe edition that will probably have 2 or 3 extra songs? Why not put ONE version out and call it a day? neutral

She releases an album every year. It would be fine if the music was actually good and she could sing and had some talent...My theory is she will flood the market while Beyonce is preggers. She's probably thinking "yes, i gotta drop these albums while this bitch is knocked up"! lol

RiRi had been planning on dropping the new album anyways, she just initially denied it. I'm not a fan at all but get that money girl lol

Back in da day, to stay competitive and relevant, artists used to drop 1-2 albums annually. The 90s, I think, ushered in the trend of the extended time span between studio albums.

Rihanna has dropped an album every single year except 2008 since she debuted. No one can ever say she's a slacker.

She has more studio releases than Alicia, Beyonce (solo), Christina, Pink...people who were around YEARS before her.

No interesting new hair? Does this mean she's over?

The Deluxe edition looks nice enough. Both of those pictures are something you'd expect to appear just inside the booklet though. Not as the album cover itself.

I believe Michael started that trend following the success of Thriller. All of a sudden albums were produced to be "events"... if you were releasing 1-2 albums between 1987 and 2004, you were "oversaturing the market".

exactly, this is puzzling, isn't it?...since the 90s artists had been releasing new albums every every 3 (or even 4) years, to make sure that there was (almost) no filler, and actually offering something new (production-wise).

but RiRi seems to be living in tha 70s, lol, which is weird since the 07-11 is the era of digital singles...

She said she loves the album cover because its the most unattractive she's ever looked on one.biggrin

pretty idiotic thinking - she probably thinks people will take her seriously now.

I see she finally recorded "Saxon"

Nicki Minaj "Saxon" demo

Nicki submitted this to Rihanna for her "Rated R" album.
