The Best Oukast Album...

I honestly would say that my favorite Outkast Album is "ATLiens", but it's really hard to truly say which is their absolute best album. Which would you say is your favorite though?

It'll have to be between ATLiens and Aquemini, but to keep it safe, I'll give the edge to Aquemini.

If you count them as a duo, then Stankonia is definitely their best album. Otherwise, I'd have to go with The Love Below, but that's basically a solo project by Andre 3000.

I usually don't count the Speakerboxxx and The Love Below albums as a typical "OutKast" group project, but I guess we could count them in. razz

The Love Below is a masterpiece though.

Damn, all bring something totally different to the table.

My top three would be ATLiens, Aquemini and Stankonia, with the last two as the top 2. Theie debut is fourth.

I put Speakerboxxxx/Love Below in a totally different place. It's hard to put it up against straight up rapping albums. I rank Idlewild along with this one and it's about 2 nothes below.

Stankonia. I can remember it like yesterday. I was in the 11th grade...everybody was anticipating it.I'm from the A, of course. Everybody was talking about "They're back on the original sound they started with"...but really,it was a whole different monster. They really took it there with this one. One of the funkiest Hip hop albums of all time...and one of the biggest influences on what I call "ExileMusik". wink

"Idlewild" isn't even a bad album at all. It's actually pretty good. If anybody else other than Outkast would have released that album, it would be considered groundbreaking.....

nod I find Idlewild to be a cool album. I find myself playing it more now than I did back in 2006. Big Boi shined all over that album, but Dre did his thing too. "Morris Brown" and "N2U" are just irresistible.

Idlewild is definitely their Parade - seriuosly one of the most underrated albums of the last decade or so, and mostly because it was attached to a "meh" period movie.

But I have to give it to Stankonia, which is like the closest thing to punk-rock hip hop we've ever had.

They had a song last year called Lookin 4 Ya. It was supposed to be on Big Boi's solo album, but record label politics shut that down.

Nah. Pretty close though. Not much in it. There's actually some of my favorite Outkast tracks on that album but I think as a cohesive work of art it's a bit more patchy than the others.

The thing about OUTKAST is every one of their albums are different, precise and near perfection in their delivery...Experimental & commercial @ the same time. They were the last resemblance of funk on the top of the charts...After Idlewild, u see where mainstream hiphop went. The greatest rap group of all-time....& one of the greatest ever period. Dungeon Family...Come back as soon as possible! Know y'all never went anywhere, with Big Boi's great solo album & Cee-Lo's solo successes...But damn, the world needs another "Even In Darkness".
