The Sensational Guitars Of Dan And Dale {aka Sun Ra And The Blues Project} ~ Batman Theme

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

omg, this was released in 1966? Unbelievable sound

could not believe it so i read: Sun Ra on the Hammond B-3 organ, John Gilmore and Marshall Allen on tenor and alto, respectively, Pat Patrick on bass, and Jimmy Owens and Tom McIntosh on trumpet and trombone.

i'm enjoying it! cool

Are you talking about the sound quality? As far as Youtube goes, that depends on what the uploader is using to make videos with and the source of the recording.

Interesting track.

Another Sun Ra/Batman connection can be found on a release I have...

...The Singles

There are 2 versions of this song in this 2-CD set...

...I Am Gonna Unmask the Batman

The second version is the last tune in the 4 cut clip. Around the 13:38 mark.
(Moon Dance/The Blue Set/Disco 2100/I Am Gonna Unmask the Batman)

I prefer the funkier first version which feature vocals by Chicaga Blues man Lacy Gibson. The guitar lick is trick.

There's an extended version of the Lacy Gibson take along with a lo-fi 7 minute rehearsal of the tune on...

Without checking the liner notes, my guess would be yes.

It sounds like him.
