Why? It's not a sticky. lol I've seen 5 or 6 threads about SuperHeavy and 2 about the Metallica/Lou Reed group.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

How could I take this man seriously or even like him? neutral

I wonder where he gets the money to do all this stuff?

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Believe it or not "The Jackson 5" has a following that would pay to see them perform LIVE. I think if they can get with a strong Promoter they'd do well over-seas. They're at different stages of their lives and I wonder if they "want" to sing & tour together...Lawd knows they've got a Catalog of Songs to put on a very Good road show..

Do they still have that fire & desire? Did Mike's death awaken their inner passion for singing in front of crowds?

A couple of years ago they were all over the place doing interviews helping promote "This is it"...There was the reality show...Timing is KEY and that was the window they needed to go back out on the road...I imagine the People/Suits SELECTED by the COURTS to handle Mike's estate would loan the Group money. Mike's estate is making a Billion Dollars a year. Investing in "The Jackson 5" videos/tours would be wise investment for all parties...

Actually, I personally don't know any J5 fan. I know a lot of MJ fans, but it seems that Mike's Motown cataloque does not interest that much. Of course, J5 had so many great songs that would be enough to put on a great show, but I am not sure, if it would be good without Mike. He truly was the main star. But maybe you are right. Maybe they would attract a big audience. I don't know. But I personally wouldn't care to see Jermaine perform any of their songs.

There's a huge Jackson 5 fanbase! That's why certain members of the family were always trying to get Michael to "re-unite" with his brothers.

Now...unfortunately, it's entirely too late and I personally, wouldn't watch Jermaine Jackson, wax my floors, doing head stand slides...if he paid me for the privilege of doing so!

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Seems like fans aren't happy with J-Fab re-remaking the song. Jermaine took to his Twitter (@JermJackson5) to express himself...

Amuses me to hear I'm "trying to be like Michael" by simply doing a cover of The Jacksons' 'Blame It On The Boogie'. What nonsense, but...if anyone is going to do a cover of a Jacksons' song, I think it should be a Jackson : )

While I do agree that he is an ORIGINAL member of the group and has the right to do the cover, I don't think it was a wise choice. MJ's vocals alone swept the original version and any other cover that comes with it

Most of those are Michael Jackson fans only who probably didn't even know Jermaine sung untill the past few years.

I know a few die hard MJ fans who couldn't even name the Jacksons brothers.

while jermaine can cover whatever he wants, for those of us who remember the original song and the fact that jermaine wasn't even in the group at that time, this cover only serves to make him look desperate and small. not only is he chasing mj's fans and fame, he's chasing his own ghosts of 'what could have been'. he claims he stayed at motown b/c he was grateful to berry gordy, blah, blah, blah. i maintain he stayed b/c he thought he was going to be a big solo performer in the mold of stevie or marvin. i used to take him at his word, but seeing how he is, and the massive sense of entitlement and ego, i believe he stayed b/c he wanted the spotlight himself, and didn't want to share it w/anyone, particularly mj. but he got his comeuppance as he watched his brothers have a hit album out of the gate, with bonafide classics like 'good times' and 'show you the way to go' and by the third album which contained this song, garner the creative control they had been seeking, and that jermaine likely never had, from motown. 'blame it on the boogie' isn't even the best song on that album. for me, it's a toss up btwn 'shake your body' and 'push me away'.

instead of possibly being reminded that he has his own talent (imo, marginal talent), all i'm thinking of is how stupid he looks trying to latch onto what he was never a part of, trying to make us all forget that he had left mj and his brothers, and they moved on w/o him, and as it turns out, it was no great loss to them in the end.

Jermaine left the group just like Michael left the group. Only differen is one had the greatest solo career imaginable and the other had a decent career (some top 10 pop hits) at that.

Am not even gonne click on the video link, he might think it shows interest and next thing you know he'll be covering the entire Jacksons catalogue just to be able to say that he DID sing on those song even if he wasn't in the group...

I love J5/Jacksons songs, but because Michael sings them, I don't care for the rest, and when Jermaine did his chorus thing, the song was suddenly veryyyy boring.

Short on cash, child support soon due Jermaine? Fortunately the video doesn't look very expensive.. bunch of people in the middle of the street dancing to you brothers hit.

Yeah, I love Graffiti Bridge movie, so what? ''Oooooooooooh Montreal, say it!''

thanks, captain obvious, i didn't know that mj left the jacksons to have a solo career.

we're talking about jermaine. when mj left the group, he left to perform his own songs and music. jermaine could be singing songs from his 'decent career', or hey, what about new songs, so why isn't he? b/c he's trying to latch onto mj and his brothers' success, pretending that he was a part of it, when he wasn't. remember, marlon put him on blast about the very same thing during mj's 30th anniversary show.

Are you saying Jermaine is tryin to latch on the success the Jacksos had about 40 years ago? Jermaine had success himself with his brothers with the J5, so him doin a "Jacksons" song that wasn't even a huge hit, whats the problem?

Who announced MJ's death on national TV when usually it's a doctor that does that? Jermaine

Who did an interview in Neverland with Larry King? Jermaine

Who attempted to do.. how many 3? tributes since 2009? Jermaine

Who sang Smile in various tv shows and award shows (and messing with the lyrics at the memorial btw)? Jermaine

Who said he would write his memoirs, which finally ended up being a book about his brother? Jermaine

Who said that the Michael Forever tribute concert is bad timing (when he releases his book, and films a video for BIOTB during that period)? Jermaine

Who complains on Twitter that his mom his being used to promote a concert when HE did the same, crying to his mom and asking her to do a little promotion video for his Vienna concert? Jermaine

Now Who, instead of releasing new songs if he has 'so much talent' uses his brothers old hits (yes it was one, people love this song among the fans) and makes little effort to pay his child support again cashing on the name Michael Jackson, thinking MJ fans are also Jermaine's fans?

Jermaine.

And there are probably more I forgot in the past 2 years.

That is the problem. Jermaine acts like a 2 year old spoiled child with an attitude that 'they'll fall in love with the first person they'll see' so he is everywhere, even if we don't want to see him, he makes himself even more ridiculous that he was until now. He seem to think that now, ''it's his turn'' now that Michael, the little brother who took the lead of the group at 9 years old and took away his own time to shine, is gone. My turn, My turn, look at me!!!

And the fact that he can't take care of his own children and asks his mother (again) to raise them while he gets stuck in Africa for not paying his child support.. yeah who uses that poor 82 year old woman again while not even to get a life and a job that does NOT involve Michael's name of creation?
