The Ultimate Jimi Hendrix/Pyschedelic Thread

I'm just putting two threads in one.

For the past month, I've just been taken by Jimi and the Psychedelic movement and sound.

I've turned my room into this trippy lounge. I have glow in the dark posters, purple and red neon lights etc...I even have Pyschedelic music playing even when I'm not home. Just in case I meet a girl and decide to bring her home. Every time I listen to Psychedelic music, it feels like I'm in the 60's. I feel like I don't appreciate shit, I don't really appreciate shit even when I'm not listening to Psychedelic music.

Jimi along with Prince(Around The World In A Day), introduced me to this genre. Prince introduced me to Jimi(like 3 years ago). Every since then I've been listenung to Jimi on a daily basis. I've been listening to Jimi so long, that I randomly say "hey, watch out". Corny? Yes. But cool. Every Saturday night, me and friends go to this rave, and I always play "If 6 Was 9" just to get the mood started.

So let's hear it for Jimi and Psychedelic music.

Somebody call theAudience STAT!

His knowledge will enlighten you so much... worship

I am a HUGE Jimi fan!

If you get a chance, check out the "Experience Hendrix" tour. Obviously it's not him, but it will turn you on to so many great artists.

I saw Eric Gales and Voodoo Chile (Doug Wimbish & Keith LeGrand) 2 weeks ago... I'm still headbang

There are so many wonderful ways to experience the music of Jimi Hendrix. music

Being that he died when I was 3... it ain't happening.

I would have loved to have seen him live, too, but I didn't. So I enjoy artists who have embraced his music.

You don't know what you're missing.

Oh no, I have all his records, but I don't wan't to see anyone performing his music. That's how I am with all my favorite artist.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
