Wy don't people mention T-Boz when they mention Janet, Britney, Paula, and other non-singing heffas?

Because, like, isn't she the worst female singer to have had her voice all on a number 1 song? evillol I used to have this running joke, sort of, back in the day where I would ask people if they had heard that Janet and T-Boz were working on a song together and then falloff at people's reactions.

Anyway... sigh yeah, T-Boz sucks. So why does she always get a pass when talking about awful female singers?

I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Her voice was suitable for the records she sang on TLC lol it was an acquired taste. Which is why I said she didn't deserve a mention. lol Plus mentioning Janet is just asking for TROUBLE but I ain't one to gossip so you ain't heard that from me. lol

I agree with Timmy. Her voice was suitable for their songs. The three of them together worked very well......

Because T-Boz isn't a star or an annoying brand that won't go away; she was part of a 90s music group that had approximately a 7-8 year run of hits, and has now been relegated to the nostalgia bin for as long as their popularity lasted (maybe longer.) Picking on T-Boz's limited singing ability is unnecessary. Unlike Britney, you're not gonna hear T-Boz on the radio on a regular basis…or see her name in the tabloids and trades; if you aren't impressed by her voice, she's very easy to get away from.

I thought the same thing. Although TBoz had a voice that gave their sound identity... they didn't sound like all the rest. And I actually liked Tboz's style of singing.... she had swagger which is rare. The others mentioned in the title all tried to sound like a sexy kitten with their whispery voices... Tboz had that street sex appeal that was the TLC. They were crazysexycool.

TLC you can't really say anything bad about. That group just came together perfectly-they had the right songs, moves, etc. They had chemistry out the ass.

I loved her voice when I heard it, it's like what Janet and Jody Watley (Still A Thrill) were doing before her, and Chilli supporting her with her higher register and Left Eye with the rap worked like a charm.

I liked the way her voice and Chilli's worked together. That was the best part of TLC and I ended up playing the Crazysexycool album a lot (I don't seem to have it anymore - must have sold it at some point).

I won't comment on what I think of her live vocals.

T-boz sounds like she smoked 5 packs of newports and swallowed the fluoride that the dentist says not to swallow.

She sounds like she has a old school humidifier stuck in her vocal cords.

I always think of T-Boz when I hear the beginning of "Space Universal Love Mix" :

nod I've never thought that Mary J. could ever sing and lawd don't get her on stage live..it's like a person's nails going down a damn chalkboard. Then she'll try to oversing and her voice cracks up all over the place. But people seem to like it and call it singing so oh well. shrug

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
