Yes, I'm with you on that. She did a recent live cover of Adele's "Rolling in The Deep" that rocked more than the original.

Sorry, but your an idiot.

Anyway....this is how it should have sounded

[Edited 8/4/11 10:41am]

they sound basically identical to each other

i think Adele is a decent singer with a nice tone. But i don't find Adele an amazing singer.

I cant believe people are trying to compare Adele with Nicole

Adele - true talent

Nicole - truly not talented

well again comparisons are weak, people lump people together all the time, especially on the org, i cant compare artists that dont do the same stuff, now sorry but Nicole can sing, people can say music stinks etc... but to say she cant sing and write her own stuff is just not having the facts straight. Not taking anything from Adele but lets not sit her in a throne way too early, thats what people did with alicia keys after that first album, now everyone hates her here, though, the first album was weak compared to the rest.

Comparisons are nothing more than useless talk, i mean people lump a-ha in a USA one hit wonder class with people like Nena and Tpau, but fact is, their last tour in 2010, raked in 500million norwegian kroner (which is 97 million in usa dollars) which is more than Prince's musicology tour in major stadiums brought in, so much for comparisons.

The album is getting delayed so it gets released in the height of the X Factor season. They are gonna bank on the JLo method.

Either way I just love making fun of Nicole's mess of a career...

If Nicole was 50 lbs. heavier and wore dowdy outfits, but had the exact same vocal ability and command of the stage, people would be praising her talent.

Ehh, why? I think she's hot and I think Adelle is hot. Their talent, voice, etc doesn't have any part in that. Well, that's a lie. I think Adelle's accent is sexy. lol Besides, it's pretty well known that it's twice as hard (at least) for a heavy, large, overweight, etc singer to break-in to the business than it is for a thin one. People would be talking even more shit if she was 50 pounds heavier.

Well I can agree with on that post is that songs are run of the mill that have been pushed to the American market which is nothing but run of the mill artists for the most part and marketing here is nothing more than the notion of put a rapper or trey songs on a track and it will sell too bad 9 out of ten times that is not so. Nicoles career is doing fine overseas where sorry to say that's where the money is. I know that most of the org doesn't think outside the USA box but the USA is no longer a leader in anything. She's already had a number one debut in he uk and a top 5 album, but I will say that with the tracks like "powers out" with Sting and her piano solo "amenjena" these Are tracks that better showcase her but the USA will not even attempt them here.as far as producers the last thing she needs is more input from whack producers like The Dream, Pollow, will I am and countless others.

Yes. It would surprise some that she has had a number 1 single and two top 10 hits in the UK this year. I don't, however, see her repeating that success in the states.

I tend to agree with this, although I don't care for her voice she does have range and power. But all she does now is songs Rihanna (maybe even Ciara) would reject and projects an extremely trashy image. She just hasn't managed to stand out much at all.

no i dont see many repeating that for the most part, especially those in their 30's, which is why im shocked to still hear people talking numbers about Kelly Rowland and thinking she is gonna sell 300,000?? I mean artists with FAN loyal bases cant do that, Kelly is never gonna do that here and 99% of the artists arent either.

Oh, that's bullshit lol . There's plenty of heavy and/or unattractive people who have made successful careers in music and have huge fanbases. If the talent is there and they have things to say worth listening to, they'll get signed no problem and an audience will find THEM, regardless of appearance. And you just shot a hole in your own stance by mentioning Adele, who proves what I'm saying.

I actually agree with Chamber - a lot of the more attractive (in a mainstream sense) artists have to constantly deal with people not giving them the credit they deserve and assuming that either they fuck for tracks, or that they have no real talent and got signed purely on their looks or who they slept with, like physical beauty and talent can't co-exist in the same person or something. Especially if they're female. I'm pretty sure when Shania hit it big everybody was insisting Mutt Lange made her and that she had no talent outside of being incredibly hot. There's plenty of other examples of this that I could name off, but I'd be here all day, the list is so long.

If anything, Nicole S proves that as a good singer, you can look like a model and still flop.

She should have been your dad's favorite singer by now.

She dropped with the Pussycat Dolls SIX SUMMERS AGO. How come her looks have only carried her so far?

I think she's a good singer, but they keep giving her "sexy" material. When is she going to go adult contemporary? Can't compare her image to Adele's when Adele sings "MOM SOUL".

If Nicole S ever gets out of the shit-hop game and goes MOM SOUL, she will be alright.

I see she's still trying to sell softcore porn.

U see the thing is that its a total double standard with male and female, theres alot more a male can get away with than a woman can, as a male artist u can pretty much look like a model or a sack of dirt and no one would care or even discuss it, males get away with much more than females do, there are alot of "good looking" male singers that are there just because of that, and sing like shit, or just basically run of the mill and no one ever questions their singing chops. With females, especially here on the Org, you have to sing like Aretha or you suck balls, and you have to look like you got hit by a truck or you fucked for tracks.

I agree with this. Its true.

The problem is, some of the chicks who sing at that level (coughcoughChristinacough) DID actually fuck for tracks...so.....that does't help. lol Just sayin'.

For what its worth, I think that Nicole can sing but has SHIT MATERIAL. (Yes, almost ALL OF IT) and it detracts from her abilities. Same goes for Beyonce.
