New Track From Ex-Destiny Child Member Michelle Williams

July 6, 2011

Link

Fresh off the theatrical stage, Michelle Williams has been working hard in the studio on her new project, still untitled at the moment. Michelle is following up her #1 Dance album, Unexpected, with the buzz single “Love Gun,” produced by Druski.

When asked about the sound of her new album, Michelle says:

“My album will be ‘inspirational pop.’ Think of Katy Perry’s ‘Fireworks’ or Natasha Beddingfeld’s ‘Unwritten.’ I want to give people a message of hope while at the same time get them moving with dance inspired tracks.”

Michelle is currently working with Jim Jonsin and Rico Love, with whom she worked with on Unexpected.

Michelle’s album is slated to drop this winter with an official single release in August/September.

Michelle is my favorite of the 3. She's kind of crazy, but she's beautiful and I like her voice much more than I do the others.

I hate Michelle's voice. Sorry lol but it's not very pleasing to my ears. She sounds like she has something stuck in her throat. Normally, I like raspy voices but not hers.

Farrah Franklin said that Matthew made the other girls tan to appear darker than Beyonce, and she (Farrah) refused. Also, the lighting and/or flash can make someone look darker or lighter.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

^^^ Michelle is the same complexion as Beyonce. I dont know why people make it seem as though Beyonce is really really light skin. She is fair/brown skinned. Alicia Keys is someone who is light skin.

Anyway, Ive always thought Michelle was pretty and she seemed sweet but I never thought she was a great singer confused She was just filler for DC kinda sad because Ive always felt she was the most geniune.

Michelle's voice is terrible; she sounds like a chipmunk. I think the ONLY reason they ever gave her any solo parts was because after all the drama of LeToya, LaTavia and Farrah getting fired or leaving acrimonously, they had make it seem like Michelle was being treated nicely.

I have no interest in hearing that girl sing.

I don't think Sony would let her release two gospel albums for that reason. Gospel in general is not a big seller and doesn't get airplay on urban nor pop radio, although some adult R&B stations will play it on Sundays. Michelle has also appeared in the Broadway shows Aida & Color Purple. I don't think they hired her to be nice either.

Now I like Michelle but you cant possibly be serious?

Any time Rihanna and Tpain can get record deals and have millions of hits you have the nerve to make an arguement with this neutral c'mon now... those things has zero to do with her vocal abilities and MORE so to do with the fact that she is a DC member.

I didn't say anything about her voice being good or not (that's an opinion of the listener), just that a record company (nor Broadway) is not going to release something to be nice, the part I bolded in the comment I was responding to. You're reading something that is not there and has nothing to do with the people you mentioned.

Michelle Williams Skeptical About New Album Release Date

August 8, 2011

Michelle Williams is currently in the lab working on her fourth solo studio album but the former Destiny’s Child singer is currently unclear when the new project will be released to fans.

“I am working on it now and doing the recordings for it,” Williams told The Celebrity Café. “There are so many artists coming out on that label, so I’m not exactly sure when it’s going to come out, but we’re expecting to have the official news about the album coming out soon.”

When the album does get the all clear, fans should expect inspiration and dancing: “The sound and themes that I’m going for are inspiration and some hope that still makes people dance and think positive of situations in the world,” she says. “It seems that everything going on now is so heartbreaking. I just want to remind people that we still have lives to live and purpose to fulfill.”

Nevertheless, Williams will still continue to bank. She will head back on the road to tour in a play as well as delve into more acting.

“I was touring in a play, What My Husband Doesn’t Know, earlier this year so we’re going to pick that back up and be on the road for seven more weeks,” she says. “I also plan to do a lot more acting and more music.”
