Update: MJ's nephew Austin performing his first single live on Lopez Tonight (video)

This title and thread is updated and edited because of Austin's live performance from 27/7 on Lopez Tonight. It's his first single All I need live

Austin Brown performed this on Global Soul TV the other week. Unplugged type performance. Austin singing and playing guitar.

He's got potential. He's got a natural falsetto although I'd prefer if he used his head voice more like he did in the clip I posted in this thread

Nice.

Overall I have to say that I think that Austin's got a chance. His voice is good enough. Not as distinct and original as Michael's and not as soulful as Jermaine's but he has got a good enough head voice and a natural falsetto. His dancing is really promising. He has got the Jackson style, a little bit of Michael and a little bit of Janet. He has got stage presence, he did really good considering it was his debute. He manages to display some pretty advanced dance moves and sing at the same time without having to lip synch. He isn't a virtouso per se with the instruments but he knows a little bit of everything. Comparing to other Jacksons I'd say that Tito is a lot better guitarist and Jermaine's bass chops is much more impressive but Austin knows a little bit of everything like Randy (although Randy is a bit more skilled in terms of instruments). He is still rather young and I think he'll do good among the ladies. With the right songs and the right promotion he'll do good. The Jacksons minus Janet and Michael were always best as a group effort combining their respective skills. Austin is the whole package and could make it on his own.

I know... he is to handsome for that.. but it is fine. Out of all the new generation Jacksons I see he has the most talent out of the bunch. He definitly has alot of potential to make it. I was surprised by his natural convincing stage presence and I see he has alot of his family influences in him.

He is behind Janet for the Throne. Aside from being a Jackson, simply as a performer in today's market, he is way more interesting live act than most. He has some maturity as a performer, the kind that seems to come from developing your skill sets and presentation through working day in and day out. That was nice to see.
