Mathew Knowles Denies Stealing $$ From Beyonce

Beyonce's Dad: I Didn't Steal from My Daughter!

Beyonce's dad has filed legal papers which now explain why the singer fired him as her manager -- he claims she's under the impression he stole lots of money from her, and say it's a bad rap.

0711_beyonce_matthew_ex_money

In the documents -- obtained by TMZ -- Mathew Knowles claims Live Nation Entertainment wanted desperately to sink its fangs into Beyonce's 2011 world tour. According to the docs, Mathew claims Live Nation told Beyonce that Mathew "had stolen money from Beyonce on her most recent tour or otherwise taken funds that [he] was not entitled to."

Mathew claims Live Nation was effective, because Beyonce had her law firm conduct an audit, and the law firm concluded Mathew had indeed pilfered money from her. Beyonce then fired him.

Mathew claims after he was canned, Beyonce hired a manager who had worked as a former exec at Live Nation and maintained a relationship with the company.

Mathew insists the theft accusations by Live Nation are false, and he wants the judge to give him the right to take depositions of various people at Live Nation, to determine just how they concluded he was a thief.

We could not reach Beyonce's rep for comment.

Are you on my Facebook? We've been chatting about the Murdoch situation all day. I gotta admit, I have a softspot for the TMZ show. I don't watch it for their snooping (which they really don't do on the tv show). The cast is just off the way silly. It's like watching someone's office antics on TV. And I gotta a crush on the blond surfer idiot. lol

Poor Mathew. It's a shame when you raise a child to be a powerthristy ruthless diva and then she turns around and goes all diva on you.

i havent had a kind word for TMZ pretty much, well ever, they are shady in a more "Kardashian" kind of way, kind of like a reality show type deal, But they did scumbag Alec Baldwin with "stolen" messages of him yelling at his kid, like no parent ever yelled at their kid and some other shady stuff too

Please dont turn this into a thread about TMZ, although I too am interested in how they get their stories/sources, but thats another thread. I wanna know what people think about this story-whether or not papa Knowles actually took $$ from his daughter. If its true (which may be since a law firm conducted an audit and concluded that he did take some $$), I wonder why he's pull that, thought he was already well paid as Bey's manager. confuse

Beyoncé's father may sue her new manager

He asks judge to let him quiz Live Nation

By CINDY GEORGE
HOUSTON CHRONICLE

July 11, 2011, 11:16PM

Beyoncé's father wants to depose Live Nation to find out if the concert promotion giant orchestrated allegations that he stole from his superstar daughter and if she earned a payday for dumping him as her manager.

The recording artist, actress and fashion designer fired Mathew Knowles on May 13, according to a petition filed Monday in Harris County District Court.

Knowles alleges that he was forced out of managing his daughter's affairs by a company that wanted to run her lucrative world tour. He is asking a judge for permission to question Live Nation officials about their business relationships with Beyoncé and her husband, rap mogul Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, among others.

Knowles especially wants to know who told his daughter that he took money he wasn't entitled to and if Live Nation had a role in his termination. That information, the petition said, will help him investigate potential grounds for a lawsuit.

Efforts to reach Knowles, Beyoncé or their representatives for comment were unsuccessful. Live Nation had no comment.

Beyoncé rose to international fame in the late 1990s as part of the Houston-groomed girl group Destiny's Child and later as a solo artist.

According to the petition, Beyoncé and other members of Destiny's Child individually entered into personal management agreements with Knowles lasting from June 1997 through February 2000. Under those deals, Knowles served as their "exclusive personal manager throughout the world," the filing said. He managed Beyoncé for almost 14 years.

Before Knowles' termination in May, Live Nation only possessed the rights to Beyoncé's 2011 North American tour, the petition said.

"Upon information and belief, after failing to secure the rights to Beyoncé's world tour, Live Nation agents or representatives made statements to Beyoncé, alleging that (Knowles) had stolen money from Beyoncé on her most recent tour or otherwise taken funds," the filing said.

In October, the law firm conducting an audit for Beyoncé accused her father of fraud, partially based on false statements by Live Nation, Knowles alleges.

The Osmonds never had any business problems with each other or their parents.

matthew made sure these girls kiss beyonce's feet smh they seem kinda intimidated anwereing the question

here's an old interview by Farrah about him

Quote:
Interviewer: Was it worth it? I mean, I don't know anything about how much you were paid while you were in the group, but was it worth it financially? Did it help you pay your bills?

Farrah: Yeah, it was worth it financially. I was making more, of course, than I was making before. So the money wasn't really an issue. It was just an issue of being unhappy. And there's no amount of money that could make me stay anywhere if I'm miserable. So when I got off the phone I went to Houston. Mathew said hi to me the next morning and I'm really upset still. I'm sick and I'm upset and I don't want to speak to him because I don't want to say the wrong thing. And Beyonc remarked "Did you hear my dad say hi?" And I said,"Yeah, I heard him say hi and I didn't speak to him for a reason." So she said,"Well if you don't want to speak to him you don't gotta speak to me either." So I started clapping and I said "Good, well my day is gonna go much easier." That was another thing. You couldn't say anything or have a conversation without the daughter being there. Then it was too personal. I mean, you should be able to have discussion with your group, you should be able to have a discussion with your manager. I mean, you're gonna have disputes. Thats gonna happen but if you can't even do that, then nothing is gonna get solved. I mean, we could not even talk about anythng. We were paying her sister, Solange Knowles, to come with us. We were paying for her flights, we were paying for her hotel rooms.

Interviewer: How old is her sister?

Farrah: She's 14. We were paying for her flights, her airline tickets, and we were giving her per diem.
Interviewer: Who? The group?

Farrah: Yes. This was coming out of my check and she wasn't doing anything. She was supposed to be a dancer, but she never danced for us until I left the group. So when I asked why we were paying her, my manager was like,"Why do you care about where $300 is going when you're getting paid this?" And I'm like I don't care if I'm getting paid 1 million, if I want to know where five of my dollars are going there shouldn't be a problem with me asking. When I asked about money there was a problem. When I asked why our expenses were so high there was a problem. I mean, I asked a lot of questions. I am and independent person. I've been on my own since I was 15 years old, so I'm gonna ask questions. It seemed like whenever I asked questions about anything it was a problem and it was always me. It got a to a point where when I saw Mathew coming I knew did something. And I was like, why me? But I ean, I asked too many questions. I flew home on our days off and they told me that I went home too much. Now mind you, we only get four days off. We were supposed to get eight, but it went down to four. So they told me I flew home too much. Now pat for my own flights home and I pay for my own flights back. I get my own car pick-ups and everything. I don't ask anybody to do anything for me. All I ask is when do I need to be back for work. I think pretty much I was just too independent. Mathew is a controlling person and everything was under his control. I had control over what I was doing in my life and I don't think he liked that.

Quote:
Farrah: Oh, she's going solo. That's a known fact. Also, another thing is she told us she was going solo about a
month ago. I have friends in the industry and I know that she's been working on her album. She's been
telling everybody she's not going solo and she's not doing anything but she has been working on her album. She's supposed to have her album out in December. So that means Destiny's Child is only going to be able to put out two more albums. All you see now is Beyonc. so I don't think her solo album is going to be much different than Destiny's Child. All you hear now is her. All you see is her. It's just
gonna be two less people, and they'll probably be singing background for her, which is what they're doing now.

I remembered that article. Farrah Franklin, Letoya Luckett and Latavia Roberson seems to be the only ones to really tell the truth about what was going on at the time with Destiny's Child. Farrah knew Beyonce was gonna go solo before Beyonce herself confirmed it.
