Sade tour starts tomorrow (6/16) in Baltimore....

Okay, who else is psyched that tomorrow in Baltimore is the start of Sade's world tour? I know I am cuz a brotha's goin'!! John Legend is scheduled to open.

I damn near forgot it was coming up since I bought a ticket so freakin' long ago. Mid Oct, I believe.

So, who's goin' (or to a show in your city)?!

Should I buy a ticket?!! I already told myself no because I spent too much money on concerts this year already, but dammit all, Sade is a subway ride away and I probably won't have the chance again! Wavering...wavering...indecision! razz lol

I've seen her and I gotta tell you, you have a lot to look forward to. She's absolutely amazing. Many people said it was the best concert they've seen, including my father who is the greatest critique.

Last night in Philly!! AMAZING!! Brilliant production - visually & aurally stunning. Sade and the band had total command of that stage from the moment the lights dimmed. I never screamed so loud in my life - thought my head would explode from sheer joy. The entire concert was amazing but I bolded the numbers that blew me away on all levels:

SETLIST (courtesy of Baltimore Sun)

Soldier Of Love - spectacular entry
Your Love Is King
Skin
Kiss Of Life
Love Is Found
In Another Time
Smooth Operator
Jezebel - she & Stuart WORE.ME.OUT and all she did was sit on the floor & sing her heart out

Bring Me Home
Is It A Crime? - again she & the band had me in tears
Still In Love With You
All About Our Love
Paradise
Nothing Can Come Between Us
Morning Bird
King Of Sorrow
The Sweetest Taboo
The Moon And The Sky
Pearls
No Ordinary Love
By Your Side

Encore:

Cherish The Day - without spoiling it for others, I held my breath while she performed

Can't state enough how worth the money this concert was, I totally got my money's worth.

I got to see these guys for the first time last night in Jersey. They were EXCELLENT!!!!! I was blown away by Sade the singer and especially Sade the Band!

I can't remember the setlist - I know they kicked off the show with "Soldier Of Love" and the encore was "Cherish The Day". They did all their hits in-between including "Love Is Found (this was done pretty early in the show and sounded AWESOME).

I think the biggest audience response was for "Jezebel". The band and the singer Sade were especially TIGHT with this performance! My favorite performance was for "Is It A Crime" I can't really say what my favorite Sade song is, but "Is It A Crime" is somewhere near the top. This performance was just beautifully done! I LOVED IT!!!!

The entire show was just one big beautiful experience. The use of the screen to convey the messages in each song was beautifully done. When they song "All About Our Love" they showed old film footage of Sade over the years. It was beautiful (I know I keep using this word). I am so thankful that I'll be seeing them again tonight!!!

There were more New Yorkers in the audience than Jerseyans. Hopefully Jersey will represent tonight in Newark. JERSEY - STAND UP!!!!! biggrin

Anyone still wondering if they should see these guys - wonder no more - GO SEE THEM!

Peace.

I will never forget when they did this as an encore during the Lovedeluxe tour. They waited so long that half the audience had left and with the house lights still on, the entire show's entourage walked up to the corner of the stage and sat while Stuart and Sade did there thang. I was in the top balcony and somehow made it to the center front of the stage. To this day I don't get how no one got hurt from the rush of remaining fans clamoring to the floor and stage area. It was an experience I will never forget and with the wide use of internet probably never have again.

Another fine performance last night from Sade! It was the exact same show they performed Friday night. However, the greatest audience response was given to "Is It A Crime" and "Pearls" (very, very moving performance).

I love and respect this band more than ever now!!!!

And John Legend was awesome also! His voice is powerful! I was never a true fan of his (I have only 1 of his cd's). I believe that will change now.

P.S. There was almost "a show" in the stands. Some people were sitting in the wrong seats and did not want to move. eek At one point someone was asked if they wanted to "take it outside" sad . Thankfully cooler heads prevailed. This all happened while Sade was performing! How people can have this type of energy during Sade's performance only God knows.......

Okay, after procrastinating about buying Sade tickets for three months (because I've been OD'ing on great concerts recently! LOL) I finally bought a ticket to see Sade and it wasn't cheap. But after watching recent videos of the band's tour, I really want to see them live. This will be my last blow out concert for the summer and I am really looking forward to it. Got a good club seat next to the stage thru ticketbastard but it was cheaper than the ticketscaplers. I'd rather have a good seat than a nosebleed, in this case. That will work for an over-the-top rock spectacular but not for Sade... I ain't gonna wait another ten years... cool

Blah! razz Tired of all these negative threads--doesn't anyone care about an old fashioned terrific concert with professional musicians and a great vocalist? Like Sade has to offer? confuse
