Clip #2 is interesting. What was the point of the guy with the mic saying that mexicans making records for El were in the house or something to that affect? Something tells me they were trying to punk El into performing......

His mom is probably telling the truth.

About the promoters for last night's debacle - It seemed to me that they are a small, family-owned company that is trying to bring concerts to the "IE" (Inland Empire), an area 60 miles east of Los Angeles that encompasses San Bernadino and Riverside. They were unprofessional from the start. While they were taking down Faith's stage set up and putting El's up, they called all of their employees up to the stage for thank-yous and the awarding of a plaque to the head of the company. I have never seen that done at a professionally produced event, and certainly not one where attendees paid up to $99 per ticket! My husband and son viewed the video and agreed with my daughter and me that the handlers/promoters were totally unprofessional. It seems to me that they were concerned about El taking too much time and they had to get Blackstreet on stage before the union cut-off time. I think that some of the booing was aimed at El but most seemed to be aimed at the other people on stage who were escorting El off. I think El had the audience and could have kept them if he could have performed something - anything. I'm sure there is no point in asking for a refund. If they are willing to treat a living legend the way they did, they certainly are not going to treat attendees any better. Refund-wise, it doesn't matter if El stepped on the stage or not; Chico was also on the bill and he never did so a reputable company would issue refunds to those who asked.

Well whatever it is, they sure did punk El! I noticed that in the second clip as well. But it was evident that El was very high, I'm sorry. He was in no way, shape or form ready to perform. They even had to help him walk out when he left the stage in the third clip. Sad!
