Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam - The Wind Was just listening to some beautiful versions of this poignant song on YT and thought I'd share.
From yesteryear...
...and from more recently.
I think this is my favourite though -- featuring a reflective Yusuf on vocals, guitar and comfy hoodie.

I got into Cat last year when i bought Tea For The Tillerman.... he made some just amazing songs! and he gives me chills. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I need to investigate his back catalogue more fully, I think. I only really know his big hits, but I've loved this song since I heard it a few years ago.
Everything's so overproduced and oversung, these days, it's nice to hear a performance of something so small and unassuming that still has you hanging on every word. And as someone said in one of the comments, you get a sense that this song means more to him now, looking back on his life, then it did when he wrote it in his twenties.
