I can't imagine she is lip synching ballads. It's easier to fake it with dance songs (and even if it's obvious, you buy into the excuse that it is hard to sing and dance). But with ballads?

The most shocking headline to me would be that she actually sang live in concert giggle.

I don't think she has ever sung live, probably a few ballads, but her dance stuff, never.

Hey baby! Don't get me in here actin' silly now! You're not taping this are you... ????

Also I don't buy the can't sing and dance at the same time argument having seen Robyn in concert, and Lady Gaga on HBO, so yes, it can be achieved biggrin.

Of course it can...before the 90's, concerts were live, singing and dancing at the same time.

And they moved just as hard on the stage!

I think anyone that buys a ticket for a Britney show knows its not live at this point, if not, well they are sailing in a ship down de nile biggrin.

thing is when she sings live, people dog her, when she uses a clip track of previously recording music for her live show they dog her, and yet they worship Madonna and Janet who invented that whole idea of focusing on the SHOW and not the vocals.

The thing about Britney though is that I don't think she ever performed 100 percent live on any tour, whereas Janet and Madonna have.

Why would anybody want to hear Britney sing live during a concert? biggrin With a voice like hers,it's best that she lip-synch.

I watched a stream of the tour opening night, she's actually singing live for a few of the songs, def more live then her last tour.

It's called pre-recorded vocals.

She got a good review for her Sacramento, CA show. They said she at least sang some of her songs rather than lip sync the whole show like the last tour.

5:27 is NOT live. That's 100% pre-recorded. Xtina said in an interview a little after that performance that Brit DID sing live during rehearsal but didn't understand why she chose to lipsynch during the actual performance.

Once more footage from different cities start popping up, start comparing vocal performances from the different cities. If you catch the SAME hit and miss notes, it's pre-recorded...

She's medicated beyond belief, controlled by parents/management that just wants to make coin. Throw in the fact that the girl cant sing, cant play an instrument, or write a lyric that is above kindergarden level what do you want?

Really she or the management that control here needs to go the jessica simpson route and merchandise. Im sure they can make her lucid enough for a few minutes to tell her fans how much they will love her homemade beef jerky, now available in your local supermarket aisle, ya'll.

If she can sing live, why doesn't she do it?

(and it's not because of the dancing, because she hardly dances on stage any more)

This video is embarassing for who ever made it. You can cleary see throughout this vid that she is lip-syching. However, this video not only demonstrates that Britney does in fact do that, but she does a terrible job of keeping up with the pre-recorded track. As for the dancing....... neutral

Thelonious Monk was a piano player. Britney occasionally touches the keys. There is a world of difference. razz

Fair enough. But that doesn't mean that "she cannot play an instrument", as Mr.Lazycrockett said...
