Now that Beyonce is flopping...

Will her stans stop dragging everybody else's favs? Will this give them some humble pie or will they continue to make fun of other female artists' flops? biggrin

She'll just have to shell out a few more dollars to have her numbers inflated. She'll be back on top again in no time. lol

That's not a compliment. Britney is pretty much a non factor these days, poor girl.

True, but I wouldn't count Beyonce out just yet. Her newest album has an appeal for an older audience, although they may never even hear it. I actually really like some of the material.

I think the album is great!

Wasn't expecting this, but this is the first album I enjoy by her.

We'll see how it goes....

They wont hear it.

Her music has been to consistent over her past three albums and that horrible single doesnt help draw the interest of an older crowd.

She may not necessarily be out but she definitly has peaked which is great because finally artists like Adele who has faithfully put out good music and didnt sell sex can get the recognition she deserves. Hopefull Jill Scott can break through

Are you implying Jill Scott has faithfully put out good music?

I love Adele, but I'm sick of people acting like she is some sort of industry anomoly. There has always been a non-sexual female singer flavor of the year. Alanis, Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman, Susan Boyle, Fiona Apple, Alicia Keys, Nelly Furtado, Amy Grant, etc. All of them either went a sexual route ala Furtado or faded off into non-relevance. I'm tired of people forgetting about them.

Wow, I wish I could be a non-factor. Her last 3 singles peaked at #1, #1, and #3

And her latest album hit #1 - just like all her albums but one (which hit #2).

I'm not a big Britney fan, but to say she is a "non-factor" is just denying reality.

Did I say that with that comment? Did I call Adele iconic or legendary or anomoly? NO I didnt. I said I am happy that she has found some commercial success which probably will not last much longer. That does not sugggest she is the ONLY artist that does not sell sex or puts out good music. I just used her as an example because she is an artist out now

AND no I am not IMPLYING I AM STATING that Jill has faithfully put out good music and she is a very attractive woman and didnt sell sex neither.

Your tired of people suggesting Adele is an anomoly and I am tired of overrated Beyonce.

The only reason why people say that about Adele is because of the global success Adele has gotten with the music material she has presented with her latest album. Shes not selling sex, wearing provacative clothing or singing about putting a ring on it. She is singing about something real and while her music isnt groundbreaking for todays music industry it is something different especially when the industry is use to generic music.

I dont even know why this is an arguement. Adele is a great artist and a MUCH better artist than Beyonce. Its refreshing to see someone get some commercial success who puts out GOOD music thats all Im saying.

Not to mention Brittany has sold ALOT more than Beyonce and she STILL sales and she peaked almost a decade ago and she does very well. Brittany isnt going anywhere.. I dont like her either but she has a very big fanbase and she does well commercially.

I love Beyonce and I don't give a shit if she flops. As long as I get my copy, I'm good. Most of the artists I love are huge flops anyway. LOL Every album I like sells 40,000 copies.

First of all, let me say this: The "Beysus" thing is actually a joke. Non fans started that up in order to make the fans(kind of like non-Christians did with calling the 1st century Christians) look like fools for being fans of them and/or defending her against Anti Beyoncés, so the "stans" took it and ran with it. And every stan base does that. I have heard/seen Gagallah, Rihus, Cisus, Godney, Legendtina, Katus, and etc. Even Adele is getting this kind of treatment from some of her stans. It happens. I even seen Shanice have a cult like fan base. http://unofficialshanice....ology.html

It's a joke. It's not that serious.

You see this is why i cant see why we even talk sales and numbers anymore, i mean its like comparing Baseball players in the 60's and 70's to the steroid junkies, i mean the inflated numbers in the 90's and 00's where all caused by a strangle hold that music had on people, no commercial singles, forced you to buy albums, acutal artists were still coming out somewhat. But the whole Beyonce is flopping or Britney is flopping, i seriously think people are just freaking nuts at this point, i mean who gives a rats ass, i mean if you sit back and actually pray that albums dont sell, i really feel sorry for people because not only is that dumb its freaking insane. But that is the culture we have lived in the last 15-20 years and why talent is at an all time low in every form of entertainment. The Beyonce will come out and do whatever it does, plain and simple, you cant compare sales from album to album cause so much shit is changing day by day. Since 2000 the industry is selling 60% less than what it did, and YES thats with a rise in digital which guess what, nothing flopped more than the idea of no albums, no stores, just downloads, dumb ideas. But whatever its not really important because i think everything needs to crash so everyone can get back to just not caring about all this nonsense, soundscan and crap like this are SO freaking 90's can we close the book on that horrid decade already.

Her fanatics are buying her songs on iTunes. The general public seems unaware and/or uninterested of Britney IMO.

I have no doubt you know the person who made up that name. LOLS! The only reason why it annoys me is because of ONTD's penchant of using those stupid nicknames in their stupid (yet entertaining) stan wars. Like seriously? I guess it's not that serious though.

She is WAY past her prime but the arguement was she is still able to sell despite that. She still has her core fanbase. If you ask me and to be honest the same thing is beginning to happen with Beyonce. ALL artists have their prime and eventually peak. Some sooner than others and vice versa. There real fans will however follow them, dowload or buy records regardless if their the medias starlet or not.

Britney is annoying me with her new songs and seems really tired of doing what she does and needs to give it a rest, but she is still doing well commercially and all those things are hardly a flop even if she looks like it on the outside and is getting negative press. They are treating her like how MJ was for years though they are uncomparable, and even I could see that without calling myself a fan. She has so many good songs, but her voice is terrible.
