Does Justin Timberlake Smoke Pot? 'Absolutely'

There's plenty of gossip about who the now-single Justin Timberlake is or is not dating, but he tells Playboy that you should probably forget what you heard.

"None of it’s true, so I shouldn’t even dignify it with an answer," he says of the Internet rumors about his love life."The thing is, I’m not going to sacrifice my friendships with people who are my co-stars...I’m not going to avoid spending time with people because someone who doesn’t know me makes assumptions about what’s going on. That’s bulls--. My life is not on the internet.”

Of course, one of those supposed relationships was happening with his "Friends With Benefits" co-star Mila Kunis, an affair they've both denied. But about his sex scenes with Kunis?

Timberlake tells Playboy, “I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t completely awkward. I couldn’t tell you the number of people in the crew watching me and my bare a–, but it was a lot."

With all of that awkwardness, it’s no wonder Timberlake sometimes feels the need to mellow out once in a while. On whether he’s a pot smoker, Timberlake answered, “absolutely.”

“The only thing pot does for me is it gets me to stop thinking,” Timberlake says. “Sometimes I have a brain that needs to be turned off. Some people are just better high.”

The actor has been provid...as of late – the 30-year-old says that cracking up an audience, as he’s done on “Satu...t Live,” is now his most "favorite thing in the world" – and unfortunately for fans of his music, it doesn’t sound like he’s picking up that part of his career anytime soon.

“I don’t have a single song ready to go. People keep asking me when a new song or album is coming out, and I don’t know what to say,” he says. “Music is not my focus right now. It may be someday. It could happen next month or next year but right now it’s not where it’s at for me.”

The business side of the industry may have something to do with it, as Timberlake says it “taints an artist’s desire” to create new tracks.

I love making music. I honestly love it. But there is a level where making music becomes a total life-sucking commitment,” he says. “To do an album and a tour, you have to be absolutely certain that whatever you have to say is from the heart, because you’re going to say it a thousand times – and on nights when you don’t feel like performing...But I haven’t felt that level of conviction the past few years. And without that conviction it’s crazy to put yourself out there.”

And while it may not be his focus now, Timberlake’s relationship with music goes way back, predating the 'N Sync craze and some of his infamous fashion mistakes.

“Not a lot of 10-year-old Caucasian kids were running around Millington, Tennessee, signing Stevie Wonder and Al Green songs, which were the songs I felt most connected to,” Timberlake says of his musical roots. “I wasn’t cool with the white kids because they thought I wanted to be black. And I wasn’t cool with the black kids because they thought I wanted to be black. So I was looked at as a traitor and an intruder or an imposter. I had to find solace in just being me.”

"Friends With Benefits" and "Bad Teacher," both starring J.T., open July 22 and June 24, respectively. You can read the full interview with Justin Timberlake in Playboy when it arrives on newsstands Friday.

He's been looking high for quite some time now.

I'm going to need receipts on him singing Stevie and Al Green at 10 though.

Pot turns his brain off? Really? I thought it was always off - at least that's how he comes across whenever he does interviews.

I just really don't like him now. Yeah, he's hot but it doesn't overrule the stench of douche-baggery he emits every time he opens his mouth.

Less singing, more Saturday Night Live appearances. His douche-baggery serves him well on that particular front. lol

I honestly just dont understand the hate for him on the org. Granted I don't know him as a singer, I avoided the 90's pop scene like the black death, but from interviews and SNL hosting he comes off pretty well adjusted, able to make fun of himself, and pretty much enjoy his life.

Bill Maher shares his take on the whole privates-grabbing thing from the MTV Awards

Remember the controversy that ensued in 2004 after Janet Jackson revealed her right breast during the Super Bowl halftime show?

Six years later, on Sunday during the MTV Music Awards, one of the performers involved in the breast-revealing incident, Justin Timberlake, acted similarly and that seemed to upset HBO “Real Time” host Bill Maher. Maher expressed this on his Friday night show.

“But also, I mean, I want to put some perspective — I said this in the monologue, it is just a dirty country,” Maher said. “And I tend to agree with you — I was watching the MTV Movie Awards this week and look, I’m the last thing as a prude. I’ve never been married. I have a reputation as a libertine. You know, I don’t have a dog in this fight but I was shocked when I saw the opening monologue between Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, two performers I like. They did a bit. They were saying, ‘We’re not really dating.’ Just to prove it – show it and tell me what you think.”

The “bit” that drew Maher’s ire was of Timberlake and Kunis grabbing each other’s private parts last Sunday. And according to the “Real Time” host, this was worse than embattled New York Rep. Anthony Weiner’s recent Twitter indiscretions.

“I mean, I’m just saying the Weiner thing was supposed to be private,” Maher said. “This is show for children. I’m sorry, but 12-year-olds watched it. And it’s not just like a glance. It’s like hanging on to a guy’s dick and –”

Maher compared this incident to the 2004 Jackson incident and suggested that the reason this latest MTV incident hasn’t caused an uproar has something to do with race.

“I’m just saying that if you’re the parent of a 10-year-old and this is ok with you, shut up about Anthony Weiner,” Maher said. “And also, show the picture — I mean, this is Justin Timberlake, remember this is six years ago. Janet Jackson’s tit popped out for a second. Here’s six years later just grabbing — I think it’s something about black and white people, I really do. When he did it with the white girl, no backlash. One second with the black tit, it was a national calamity.”

lol I thought about that too...I mean if the Janet thing never happened then it would be whatever....because MTV awards are always trying to raise the shock value each year.

I never did look at him the same after that whole incident.

I never understood the uproar over Janet's tit flopping out. I guess it's just because of the venue it was at. But I've definitely seen bigger, saggier black breasts on the Discovery channel. Why is this not an issue? They even show penises sometimes for crying out loud! I've even seen more nipple at McDonalds when some woman was breastfeeding her baby (while stuffing chicken nuggets into her mouth).

It was just a disgusting mess how it was blown out of proportion. Garbage even addressed the ridiculousness of it in their song Sex is Not The Enemy. It literally happened so fast that I had to rewind the tape after the performance was done just to make sure I saw what I thought I saw. It was the media that blew it up. They had that shot on freeze frame, and that is what got middle America up in arms. I'd wager most kids hardly even saw that .5 flash of a nipple-shielded breast.

What ticked me off about Justin was that, afterwards, he was pumped and excited about it, but once the heat came down, he was all "My grandmother saw it and she was disappointed, and so am I..." or something to that effect. He totally left Janet standing there, and it wasn't until recently when he even admitted that he handled it poorly and offered a more sincere apology to her. He even said himself that this country treats minorities different than whites. Can you imagine what would have happened if 50 Cent had ripped Britney's top off? He would have been strung the hell up, that's for sure.
