I'll catch this show in Newark. RKelly is a great live performer. I've seen him a few times and have yet to be disappointed.

Keyshia opened for him about 3 or 4 years ago in Newark. I was pleasantly surprised by her performance. She has a nice strong voice. She doesn't get lost "underneath" the music.

I know Marsha from her Floetry days more so than now. I like her voice. This should be a good show.

I don't know who U r talking about. But that girl can't even sing on tune @ award shows I attended. I will not miss this tour. R kelly gives a good show & Marsha's voice is amazing....

Keyshia >>> 3/4 female artists in the industy #fact

I don't know anything about the award shows you've attended, but the one concert I saw her in she was good. That's all I have to go on.....

biggrin I remember they use to say the same thing about Mary when she first came out & started singing live. But her excuse was she was on heavy drugs & a drunk back then. Now she has vastly improved live. I don't know why they compare those two. I guess because they are both from the hood. But Keisha's voice doesn't even come close to Mary's. Its like comparing Rhianna to Aretha Franklin. biggrin

Because they're both from the hood? LOL, na man, its cause they have similar styles, not vocally but musically and the topics they talk about in their songs are similar, how to overcome hardtimes, bad relationships, pain, uplifiting women (black women especially) etc... not to mention their presence on rappers hooks, Keysh follows Mary by putting that soulful touch on rappers hooks, ex:- Jeezy - Dreamin'... Jay-z - Can't knock the hustle

This is a cool thing. Good on RK. Marsha has taken a somewhat contradictory stand to her larger, and traditionally heterocentric audience. R. Kelly might be smoothing some of that contradiction over, and be inviting to the folks that might not have given Marsha additional chances to shine. Doesn't make me like R Kelly more, but allows me to dislike him less.

Interesting mix of artists. I'm sure Marsha would steal the show though or at least be as appreciative as the other two.

I heard J-Hud was there too but I didn't see her anywhere. He was fantastic. On top vocal form. Amazing voice.

The band were good, notably the drummer. There was no real room or time for the other musicians to 'show off' so I can't really say how good they were. Just playing the songs.

Wondering whether to go to see R Kelly? Well if you're looking to see R Kelly on stage, simply singing his tracks live, really well - go. He's an unbelievable vocalist.

Yeah, I saw him yesterday, same experience than Japha11, if you want to see him sing his tracks live verry well then go. But, the most important thing go with your girl, it guarantees you a good night.
