I think she looks great but i do think that she should build some muscle defintion maybe that is the problem.

She don't have to look like a fitness model but i think some defintion will help her.

50+ lbs overweight is obese. If she lost more than 50 lbs, then she was definitely obese before.

And it's not even like she is thin now. She looks to be a normal weight, and a little out of shape even.

I think she lost close to 80lbs.

Jennifer Hudson was borderline obese.

She claims to have lost 80 lbs and currently weighs 120 lbs. That means she used to weigh 200 lbs! Jennifer is 5' 9 so if you calculate her BMI it was 29.5

Anything over 30 is obese!

5 9 at 120 is way way way too think. At 5 7, for a male, your ideal weight is 165. I can't fathom a woman's weight being that little at that height.

Yea, I agree. Though Jennifer looks good it's obvious that she's not at her natural weight. She's a naturally curvy woman so 140 lbs is a more healthy weight. Especially for a woman at 5'9.

Let's just be real. Her weight loss wasn't about "health". It was purely image-driven.

"I wanted to get healthy and set a good example for my son."

"I wanted to get healthy and set a good example for my son."

"I wanted to get healthy and set a good example for my son."

"I wanted to get healthy and set a good example for my son."

"I wanted to get healthy and set a good example for my son."

"I wanted to get healthy and set a good example for my son."

"I wanted to get healthy and set a good example for my son."

The thing is, what a lot of these women don't realize is, it was their "every-woman look" that made them who they are and as popular as they were. After they lose that, they usualyl no longer have any flavor.

So what if they realize that the "every-woman look" makes them susceptible to illnesses and takes years off of their lives?

Oh, she can say whatever she wants, that doesn't mean she's being honest about it. In fact, I already said MOST are gonna use that as the reason when that's really not the case. It's an image thing.

Oh, she can say whatever she wants, that doesn't mean she's being honest about it. In fact, I already said MOST are gonna use that as the reason when that's really not the case. It's an image thing.

But even if it is partly about image, can you see that for many of them, their health is/was a factor in why they lost weight? While the women you mentioned were not exactly Berthas, they were overweight and at risk for many illnesses that plague their communities.

I honestly cannot understand why for many of us, it's controversial when a celeb LOSES weight. With the shit load of illnesses that we deal with (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes, etc.), you'd think that we would be the first to applaud people who take the initiative to eat right, exercise, and get themselves together. I agree that the entertainment industry has ridiculous body image issues. But it's not like J-Hud, Mo'Nique, and the others were size 6's and have gone too far and now look like anorexic models. They were overweight. And now they are at very reasonable sizes. J-Hud and Raven are not skinny. TBH Mo'Nique is still overweight.

No matter what ANY WOMAN says it's an image thing, celeb or your average Jane. This is not Hollywood exclusive by any means.

Like I said, I'm not sold that they lose it for health reasons. I think it's mainly an image-driven decision. Plus, they can't ever say anything like "I lost the weight because I was getting too big" or "I lost the weight because I didn't like the way I look" or they'd risk losing the plus-size fans by either pissing them off or alienating them altogether.

^^ nod I'm 5'1 and my doctor says that I shouldn't be less than 120lbs. How the hell is her being 120lbs at 5'9 any healthier than when she was heavy. Yes being overweight causes lots of medical problems but being underweight causes lots of medical problems too. I'd say her ideal weight should be at least 130 with a max of 140 for me to call her healthy. Skinny doesn't mean healthy and it's time for people to get that nonsensical ideology out of their thinking processes. Anorexia kills just like obesity does.

She looks good. I highly doubt she's 120lbs now though, she doesn't look that skinny. She shouldn't lose any more weight though.

time flies.
