Uhh, black siblings? Nahh, actually, Five Star had a much harder soul sound to them. It's interesting, if you think about it. They are kind of an anomoly in that they had their biggest hits with soul/r&b sounds and once they went pop, they were dropped.

I still love this song though:

If The Jackson Five started off with the Jackson era sounds, yeah, maybe we'd be able to compare the two. I just think Five Star doesn't get the credit because people assumed they were a novelty act.

Maybe so, but Denise has her own vocal sound.

People can say what they want to say about 5Star they are the group they were HUGE in my neighborhood. Of course they'll remind you of someone or another, who has'nt imitated someone in the music industry they had a string of hits and brought JOY to folks lives. I am one of those people.....THANKS 5STAR....You guys ROCK MY WORLD!!!!!!!! For you I think we "ALL FALL DOWN" 4 u.
