So we have how many confirmed songs un an upcoming Jackson release(s)?
The tracks with Dr. Freeze -A Place With No Name -Blue Gangsta -Rise Above All
Track with Rodney Jerkins -Slave To The Rhyth,
Track with Barry Gibb -All In Your Name
The 3 tracks with Mercury -State of Shock -There Must Be More To Life Than This -Victory
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever ----- Live Your Life How U Wanna Live It
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I think what CAN be confirmed is the first four are definitely on the new one. The Barry Gibb and Mercury tracks could be on the duet project, if that's still a go lol

Yeah in his interview last year, Teddy Riley mentioned a duet album in the works.

Is it a real Duets album or will it be like that Biggie Duets LP that P Diddy put out a few years back? PRINCE: Always and Forever

this is what vanilli said:
"The more people hated on Michael, while he was alive, made me like/respect him more as an artist and a person. He was largely misunderstood and disrespected because of it. At times Michael didn't make it easy to be a supporter, but I always stuck by him. I defended him in any way possible. The more people would call him "Jacko," "Fag," or "Creepy" - the more I'd play his music louder. My being a fan wasn't about rebelling against the people who hated him, but I know it played a part of it. That's why now when people praise him (since he has passed away) I'm like, "What the hell?" What is it about human nature that makes it so hard for us to give someone their flowers when they are alive?"
i don't take offense really to people having an appreciation for him after his transcendence... again, even if someone is no longer here physically, what they contributed to this earth will always be here. i had a lot of people telling me after 25 june 2009 that they finally grasped my love and appreciation for him.
as people know, i take more offense to how michael has been marketed after his transition. that's primarily it for me, in terms of complaints with events after 25 june.
i don't even necessarily think people HATED on him. i just think they didn't understand him, in the context of how we are conditioned to live our lives. we are told by varying sources what is or isn't 'normal'. and he obviously did not fit the latter caliber. i don't get upset at the 'jacko' thing at all; i think there are worse things to be called. just because he claimed to get upset, it doesn't mean i have to get upset. there have been larger issues regarding michael that i defended, other than getting upset some name like 'jacko'. people are always gonna call him that whether or not i concur, and i'd rather utilize my energy working towards spreading his teachings than being fixated on that sort of thing.
i think the 'child molester' accusations lent to larger roles about how men in particular, interact with children in western society. so i was more likely to tell people to read the transcripts if they called him a molester. i am bothered more with declarative statements (with no evidence) like 'molester' than i am with subjective statements like 'he is creepy'. one's creepy is another person's 'normal'. i'm not gonna get excessively mad at someone's opinions.
i personally know people who STILL don't like him, but they for sure don't HATE him. these people make fun of me, but i'm not bothered by it at all. i know what i like, and if they don't like it, then they don't. i'm sure there's things they like that i don't. and again, the 'hate' someone has is usually rooted in some social code we're 'supposed' to adhere to.
what's most important is the intent. and the positive contributions one has made on this earth. and unfortunately, many people were not aware of the positive contributions he made, until he left this earth. again, i don't think that is a bad thing at all. at least people finally recognize.

you know, after many years of spending my childhood and teenage years with michael, THIS is the one thing which made me (non-romantically/physically) 'fall in love' with him:
i don't care what ANYBODY says... this is my favourite rendition of all times of this song. it has moved me in a way no other version has moved me. even though he's performed it similarly over the years, this one (perhaps it's because it's with his brothers for the first time in 20 years or whatever)... i saw such sadness coming from him. this is devestatingly beautiful. it just moves me to tears. that note he hits at 2:37... chilling. and from 3:35 on... absolutely amazing.
here is the forum performance... beautiful. [Edited 3/19/11 22:06pm]

this is also just chilling... the sadness and longing in his voice. people tried to say when he said "i may be young, but i know what it's all about," it wasn't convincing. he may not have had a girlfriend or anything, but there was a WHOLE other sadness coming from him, IF you know what i mean... he SANG that song... should ANYONE have that much sadness? ESPECIALLY at the age of 13?

i just watched it... it's not bad at all. i just wish that they didn't speed up the track. it's too beautiful of a song to speed up like that. is 'america's best dance crew' a television program?
good luck to them. | |

Michael's voice came from within. He obviously sang in a way where if he loved the song he made you feel it.

For those who are on KOP or my tumblr, I compiled sets of every unreleased MJ track out there that was circulating at the moment (October 2010) as a MJ version of the Prince collection "The Work Vol 1-9"
Vol I" The 1970s Guess Who's Making Whoopie With Your Girlfriend
Vol II- The 1980s 1980-81
Vol III- The 1990s-2000s 1990
Since then, we've had quite a couple of leaks and some that I missed that I'm definitely going to have to update the sets
Let's see.. Love Never Felt So Good (HQ Version) Do You Know Where Your Children Are Slave To The Rhythm Blue Gangster All In Your Name (Snippet) Behind The Mask (2010 Mix Instrumental) Love Trip (Snippet) Jungle Sam (Snippet
there's alternate mixes of Jam and In The Closet that I missed, but is there anything else? [Edited 3/19/11 22:41pm] "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

The song doesn't sound bad sped up. At least they didn't "chipmunk" it. As for your uestion about America's Best Dance Crew?

the within him though (at least to me, or at least from hearing him describe some aspects of his life) appeared very sad.

oh no... the song doesn't sound bad sped up at all... it would have just been nice to see the dance slower. more like a ballet, as opposed to hip-hop influenced. i don't imagine hip hop-influenced dance to the song itself. when the BPM is raised, then the flow becomes more staccato. for instance, i love what michael does at the end of the live performance of 'stranger in moscow'.
what he does here is obviously influenced by hip hop culture, but somehow he adds the percussive grace of mime and jazz. i don't even know how he does it, but he flows, as if in water. he's making very staccato movements, but they flow. very poetic motions to a very poetic song.
in terms of the 'dance crew' show... it doesn't seem compelling enough for me to watch it. it's a bit too dramatic for my taste. it seems as if television's come a long way from the days of 'star search'... i don't watch television, so whenever someone tells me about show or sends me a link, my brain just can't take it. such is life.

these are my favourite dance pieces of michael's:
1. DANGEROUS: THIS is the seminal one... the most amazing sequence michael ever did, in my opinion. straight power! this is the one i prefer, over the janet jackson and morricone parts later added in.
2. SMOOTH CRIMINAL:
BOTH ARE PRIOR TO THE (houdini-inspired) 45-DEGREE LEAN
AND AFTER THE 45-DEGREE LEAN
REMEMBER THE TIME: this is so SICK!!!
i think michael paid homage to his teachers, and then some. he was the best at what he did. nobody could mess with the michael!!! he stepped up when others was slouching.
and HERE! from 4:20 on, is SERIOUSLY one of the greatest, most beautiful things you will ever see in your entire lifetime. this is absolute proof that michael is ONE OF THE GREATEST, if not the greatest, at dance and performance. he does not say a word. it is pure perfection.

I guess you didn't like what JabbaWockeeZ did to this hit MJ song then
| |

I didn't like the remix of the song because it was barely a remx. I used to take my cassettes as a kid and make everyone sound like chipmunks by playing them on 2x speed just for a joke too.

The show I actually liked was last year BBC Three doing 'Move Like Michael Jackson'. The premise sounded tacky, but I thought the acts in the live finals had a lot more musicality than the average dance crews who just try to make random shapes in unison as quickly as possible just to impress.
I loved these guys:

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."
