As I'm trying today to buy a ticket to Janet Jackson's March 21 concert in NY, I just realized that Ticketmaster is releasing the top-priced tickets only [$274 all incl]. Any other searches, in any other parts of the theater results in 'not found'. The site does say that tickets might become available nearer to the date of the show - but still...

Am I underestimating Janet Jackson in thinking that even in these economic hard times she could not achieve sold-out shows? Or am I being naive in thinking that Ticketmaster has changed its dubious ways since earlier pricing debacles?...

The thing is, despite the warning note of later availability, I still find it strange that one full week before the show not a single seat outside of the most expensive ones is available in the entire theater.

While there is no limit to what I would shell out for my darling P, I was hoping to go for the mid-range tickets for this one. I'm a JJ fan, but not a mad one:)

Thoughts?... Anyone with better luck than me in buying a ticket for this show?....

i spent over 300 dollars for my ticket.. and was considering spending 600 for a diamond ticket... but i didn't want the trouble of selling the 300 dollar ticket...

i personally think janet is worth it... other than michael they are the ONLY artist i would spend this kind of money on...
