Greg Evigan ~ BJ and the Bear

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Not crazy about the song, but Greg Evigan was too fine! I had a mad crush on him when he was on "My Two Dads"

If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

Can't believe a show like BJ and the Bear made it on air

neutral It's one of my all time favorite shows. I watched the spinoff The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo too. They need to put it on DVD, the original hour length episodes that is, not those cut versions on syndication (BJ/Lobo Show) with the silly laugh track added to it. My favorite movie is Smokey and the Bandit and I have all of the seasons of Dukes Of Hazzard.

I know it's a monkey. His name is Bear. Haven't you seen the show?

It's a rural/country USA sort of show. It probably doesn't translate to other countries (or to city slickers). smile

This is TOO uncanny. I was just salivating over pictures of him on Ebay during his BJ and the Bear days, and seriously considering bidding on some lol . He's got a good voice. I used to love the theme song to that short-lived show he did with Connie Selleca called PS I LUV U.

He sang in an episode of Fame, too

And yes, was FINE (and still is).

He was on Desperate Housewives a few years ago playing Edie's ex-husband.

Tell em bout it. I used to love these shows too. Nell Carter was on The Misadventures of Sheriff

Lobo before doing Give Me A Break.

I haven't seen Lobo since the 80's, but I think I vaguely remember her on the show. A local channel currently reruns Hunter & The A-Team and I saw the actor who played Deputy Perkins guesting on them. Here is someone's home video of Greg appearing at some kind of BJ and the Bear convention 2 or 3 years ago. That is the original rig from the show.
