Jeff Beck, 3 Grammy wins, a new cd/dvd, and 2 tours

Guitar icon Jeff Beck fresh off of a whirlwind California trip that included:

sessions in San Francisco with Rhonda Smith, Jason Rebello and Narada Michael Walden for Rod Stewart's next album; a performance at the Grammys MusiCares with LeAnn Rimes and Bebe Winans for Barbra Streisand (they did

the bluesy "Come Rain or Come Shine" and got a standing ovation); he also attended Clive Davis's Pre-Grammy party; and was awarded 3 Grammys on Sunday, Feb. 13th. Two were for performances from his EMOTION & COMMOTION album, and one was for his collaboration on THE IMAGINE PROJECT album by Herbie Hancock.

Beck will have a new album released on Tuesay, Feb 22nd. It it a tribute to the late great Les Paul. The album called ROCK N ROLL PARTY HONORING LES PAUL and will be available on cd, dvd and blu-ray, as well as digital downloads.

In support of the album, Beck will embark on an 11 city, 13 date tour accompanied by Imelda May and her band (who also appear on the album which was recorded live at the Iridium Jazz Club in NYC last June over 2 nights).

After that tour, Beck will do dates from April 13th to the first week of July to further promote EMOTION & COMMOTION with his band of Narada Michael Walden, Rhonda Smith and Jason Rebello.

Last year Beck did a world tour with this same group of musicians.

If you get the chance to see Beck, then go! I went last year and he is simply amazing in concert.

Why on Earth won't he come to Chicago with the Narada and Rhonda lineup? I have been waiting to see them together since last year. Two dates in Chicago with the Imelda May band? Why? #UtterlyDisappointed. sad
