nick, i wanna say that your version is so STEVIE-influenced... it makes me wish STEVIE and michael did a duet of this song. i think i would have been in heaven.

Yeah, my playing is heavily stevie influenced since I wanted to get good at playing I played a long with Stevie songs for two hours everyday. And hey for a minute, I did think Stevie was on that song cuse of the Harmonica. smile I think they did do a balald once together but we just haven't seen it released.

i would love to hear the bulk of the stuff STEVIE produced for the J5... i mean, if it's as good as THIS, then you KNOW it's amazing!!!

i actually do like the carl anderson version, but yes, this indeed tops it. i mean, the father (STEVIE) and son (michael) together ALWAYS tops things for me. they made a lot of vocal appearances on the same recordings, but they only recorded together a few times, as leads. it's so sad.

i mean, 'i can't help it' is pure perfection. no one else could do that song like how michael did. and no one could have touched it like STEVIE. much thanks to susaye green!!!

for sure. i think us being huge stevie and michael fans they could've done two complete albums and we would've been cool with that. lol. but yeah i always felt even on songs like just good friends and get it that their voices complimented each other so well...and stevie knew what worked for michael's voice. i can't help it is a great song. and yeah susaye wrote some incredible lyrics for that. smile i love stevie as you know, but nobody coulda sang that song better than mike in my opinion. incredible vocal performance. cool

I heart her love I'm looking forward to her new book that's coming out in March.

she looks good but a new book about what? i know she already wrote one about michael is this another?

Yeah, its due out in March. I enjoyed reading her first book, should be interesting to read what else she has to say. Here is more info on it:

Michael & Tatiana--The King of My Heart

(New Book)

As Michael warmly caressed me from behind, the magnificence of his cologne stirred my emotions. When I sensed that he wore it just for me, an indescribable euphoria swept across my psyche. My bliss was heightened when I learned from his parents and close friends that he said he was in love with me.

The purity of his minty whispers fell like angel's breath upon my ear. The radiance of his smile lit my heart. How could anyone possibly resist surrender to the innocence of his aura? While our bodies quietly posed motionlessly for the picture, our souls danced excitedly within us. For that private moment in a public place, we were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Jackson.

But all was not well. I received an evil gaze from a jealous employee standing just out of the frame, off to the side. Her icy stare still resonates with a chill. Ominous clouds were forming. I had no idea she'd represent sinister forces threatening to sabotage our royal wedding; and wearing his coat he gave me during the shoot would not shield me from the wrenching heartache to come.

At that moment, the genesis of a fairytale love affair began slowly transforming into a nightmare. The Hollywood script would read: "The exuberant bride-to-be morphed into the lovelorn queen denied her crown."

And now, though my King is gone, his love still reverberates within my heart. This is my story of lost love as never told before.

.

WHY THE NEW BOOK?

Tatiana's words above (which appear on the back cover of her new book), are a sampling of how her new book departs from the old one, and yet includes everything that the old one has. You aren't likely to find any such description of Michael as he evolves through this stage of his transformative process.

Seemingly small things, like the cologne he wore and the breath mints he took for those close moments, reveal a particularly personal side of Michael rarely seen. She even explains more about situations like Michael's excitement in showing her the set of Baby Bad, in a sense pulling back the curtain of his heart motivation, as it were.

Moreover, since her previous book NEW information has emerged as to why they didn't get married. Fascinatingly, some of the new details have been discovered and drawn from notes shared between Jackson family insiders who were previously unfamiliar with each other prior to Michael's passing.

Further, in her last book she was simply asked to write her story. That was it. This time, however, she was thoroughly and rigorously questioned--a detective-style interrogation--as to the details about the quality time she spent with Michael.

Just like in the movies, verifiable details were forthcoming not documented before, and witnesses--including Jackson family members--chimed in to validate this new information. Add to that the enthusiasm of a research journalist and you have a new book that covers and supersedes all the major components of her old one.

Lawd...I read her first book..Uh, why is she doing a second! She needs to let this die...LMAO

She makes it seem like she had this huge love affair with Michael, when actually it was just a little flirting that she took to be something more. She never really spent time with him..it was just business. lol I think Michael may have thought she was hot...but it was obvious she was a fan girl.

She became very obsessed with him and prolly scared him off! lol The letters, gifts, messages she sent him through people prolly made him think twice quickly despite the fact his circle claimed he may have liked her before. She fed off those rumors without dude even telling her or approaching her. Then had the nerve to spark those rumors by her comments to the media at that time. She just blew it...At first I felt sorry fo her..but now I think it's something wrong with her. Girl, should have moved on from that by now..but "The King of her Heart" ? Boo, please!

I did chuckle a bit at some parts in the book. Especially when someone informed Michael that she signed a contract with Joe to become her manager and he said "She can't be THAT dumb?"

lol

I've heard of the Tatiana Thumbtzen book before, and I've read the excerpt before too, but every time I read it again I eek just like it's the first time.

It's so over-the-top and reads like a bad romance novel.

I agree that its over-the-top and reads like bad fan fiction lol, I'm still interested in reading it tho, should at least be entertaining lol She seems like a sweet person and I cant really blame her for never really getting over Michael and the brief time they shared. Being in the TWYMMF video and a brief part of the Bad tour was the biggest thing to ever happen to her professionally and personally. I don’t think Michael ever really planned to marry her but I do think he had the hots for her at that time. Other people around them noticed the chemistry they had with each other and Michael went around telling people about how much he liked her.

Its too bad she never went further in her career and did other things.

this book by tatiana sounds like a bad idea... (a. it sounds like, again, putting everybody's business out in the open. (b. it sounds disrespectful of michael's privacy. all i could read was a PORTION of the first sentence, about michael touching her from behind or something, and it made me feel ill. whether or not these stories are true, i am not sure why she feels compelled to reveal them. it's got the feel of a gossip novel.

well, for all those people who plan on reading it, i hope you enjoy it.

Michael Jackson's Kids Talk About Him 'All The Time'

Monday February 21, 2011 05:20 PM EST

Michael Jackson's Kids Talk About Him 'All The Time'

Blanket, Paris and Prince Jackson

Splash News Online

Even in death, Michael Jackson is still a major presence in his children's lives.

"They are around their father 24 hours a day," Michael's brother, Jackie Jackson, told PEOPLE recently. "They have pictures in the bedroom. They talk about him all the time. They ask me stories about him. They want to know more about him."

The pop star's three kids – Prince, Paris and Prince Michael, aka Blanket – are "doing really well," Jackie said, adding that they are interested in getting into the entertainment business. Prince wants to be a director, while Paris wants to be an actress.

"I told the kids, 'You better get busy because when we were your age we were selling out concerts,' " Jackie joked, referring to the famed Jackson 5 era.

The children have embraced that era of their father's life, with Prince even donning a Jackson 5 shirt to a recent Los Angeles Lakers game he attended with Jackie. The black shirt is a part of the J5 collection that Jackson’s brothers launched.

"We had thousands of photos that had never really been seen and we wanted to make use of them," Jackie said at the MAGIC fashion convention in Las Vegas.

The clothing line, in its second season, uses images of the famed band and puts them on t-shirts, tank tops and jackets. Michael's children especially love the shirts, said Jackie.

"They like to see us as little kids," he said. "We were the same age they are and we were doing our thing."

sag10, as i said to dag and others... if you know of some of those aware people, if you can bring them to me i will be sincerely thankful to you. it's really difficult to find people who are knowledgeable about the technical aspects of music, plus deep socio-political issues, all at the same time. these are the people i gravitate towards, when i find them.

where are these people on this forum? i can have these conversations privately, if they introduce themselves to me.

and my way of letting michael rest in peace may be different than yours. for me, it is speaking about what i feel his teachings are. the tenets of the universal school. michael is my life's teacher. thanks.

As much as I want to hear the original 1982 mix of Behind The Mask, I would be shocked if they actually included it on the single. It might be too much for McClain's ego to handle and besides, most fans want it, so that means we probably won't get it.

MJ Music Video Shoot Take... Hollywood

The ghost of Michael Jackson upstaged the "Rock of Ages" show in Hollywood last night.

0222_MJ_video
Sources tell TMZ Sony is currently shooting two Michael Jackson videos in Hollywood -- the one above is a music video for "Hollywood Tonight."

It wasn't exactly being shot on the down-low .... a crew of 60 lined the sidewalk and the street in front of the Pantages Theatre.

http://www.tmz.com/

Going by this clip I am not impressed with this video. Do we really need to see other people doing Michael's moves again? How imaginative, like that's never been done before rolleyes Since the man himself isnt here to film the video, it would be better to make this a concept video, with people/actors acting out the storyline in the song. Hollywood Tonite has a really good storyline and it would be better imo to have the video play out the song's lyrics instead of showcasing a bunch of wannabe MJ dancers dance his moves. But then again, this is just a clip, hopefully the rest of the video is a lot better than what we see here.

I agree. I hated that about Hold My Hand. Just a bunch of people trying to get their shine and mimicking Michael's moves. I agree, they should just work out a storyline with actors and do it like that. The song screams for a video like this

"We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
