Just got back from the Chaka Khan concert tonight and I haven't come down to earth yet! Chaka blew out the Warfield with her spectacular voice despite initial sound problems (No one could hear Paul Mooney introduce her and do his schtick LOL). I had a great seat and could see Chaka so clearly--she looked great, has lost weight, and her voice sounds amazing! Clear as a bell and she hit every note on her beloved Rufus songs such as "Ain't Nobody" and more--belting out with that voice which Prince once called "the Mother of All Voices." I now know why he said that. She sounds a million times better live than on an album--and that's saying a helluva lot!

I have never seen her perform live before and, man, she did not disappoint! The extended finale of "Sweet Thing" was a trip to heaven! If you get the chance to see Chaka Khan live--GO! She has multiple dates coming up in Detroit, Baltimore, and Austin. Check her website at ChakaKhan.com.
