Out of those three the only one I listen to is N.W.A but they are better as solo acts , I wish I did get into Wu-Tang Clan I never did. Maybe I should start .

I totally get you lol

I went to the gym today playing some old Louie Armstrong, then some Motorhead, after that Aretha & after that Grandmaster flash lol

NWA is garbage.

to each his own, but at least give me a reason why?

The ''gangsterness?''

I found them to be telling stories of the street, like Guns N Roses told stories of L.A on Appetite For Destruction. And there was light moments like Express yourself and on Appetite it was Sweet Child o mine

NWA does not belong on the same list as two acts as great as RUN/DMC and PE. They just weren't that good. If you're coming from hip hop of the late 70's early 80's , the flow of NWA sound almost corny . It's almost like listening to little kids imitating their older siblings. Later on they all got better as solo acts. Especially Ice Cube

They were from the West coast, that's how they rapped, check early Too $hort and Ice T.

You can't go around making outrageous claims when your scope of the hiphop genre is limited to a handful of artists.

I may be very opinionated, but I have listened to a very wide range of rap music and I am always trying to expand my horizons.

I suggest doing the same.

If you haven't even listened to Wu-Tang I can't even take you seriously. (Whether you like them or not)

For real.

You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

without a dobut PE is the best of the 3 from the title thread

everytime someone mentions elvis the 1st thing i say is

ELVIS WAS A HERO 2 MOST BUT HE NEVER MEANT SHIT 2 ME ...MOTHERFUCK HIM AND JOHN WAYNE!!

4 consideration these other 3 acts deserve praise

boogie down productions

eric b and rakim

x clan

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
