Toni Braxton's family in new WE reality series

(AP) – 1 hour ago

NEW YORK (AP) — Toni Braxton is the latest celebrity to open her home to reality television cameras.

The 43-year-old Grammy-winning singer of "Un-Break My Heart" and "You're Makin' Me High" will appear in "Braxton Family Values" on the WE network starting in April. Braxton's sisters — Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar — are all aspiring singers.

The WE network appeals chiefly to women, and with Oprah Winfrey's new OWN network going on the air last weekend, it is looking to sharpen its focus for viewers. The network says it will emphasize programs that feature families.

WE executives said they will also renew the series "Downsized," about a family struggling through tough economic ties. "Staten Island Cakes" will debut this summer; the show is about a 21-year-old baker whose mother and sister work for him.

It's a good way for them to get some good and quick money. We know that Toni needs the money since she is in trouble with the IRS.

The last video I remember getting massive airplay across the board was the one where she's dancing around in her panties. After that it's all been a blur.

These ladies really need to hang it up. They had their turn to shine and it didnt happen. Im sorry they have to accept the fact they'll relegated to being backup singers. Does the public really want to know what happened to them? Toni Braxton I'll tune in for her. Im very curious about her lifestyle like why is she filing for bankruptcy again?

It's sad that Toni, who actually has talent, wants to go out like this....letting TV cameras into her home and exposing all of her family dramas/problems disbelief It's just a desperate move to revive a fading career.Instead of doing lame stuff like this, she should concentrate on making a great album for a change!

What IS her problem? She's doesn't have mental issues like Lauryn Hill obviously does (or does she?), so why this drop off? I know that times and tastes changed around 2000 which left many solo artists out in the cold (boy/girl band era), but Toni could be on the oldies/RnB circuit surely. If she's still got the pipes and shows up in a reasonable time, she'd make very good $$$$$$$$

Frankly who wants to see a reaity show about them. It's not like they were huge pop culture people like Britney and the Kardashians (for which they should be grateful, if they did but know).

Times must be hard for Toni (And they are as Toni not too long ago filed for bankruptcy) to go the reality show route.

I'm not really interested in seeing this. I just want a new album from Toni.
