I hope you're very wrong on THAT^ first point. We do NOT want to see any Nicki-clones under any circumstances. For anything, we need a female rapper that would verbally "kill" Nicki in order to avoid a potential uprise of Nicki-clones.

but its nothing about her verbal skills, she can be copied because she is first and foremost an IMAGE just like GaGa is, and again this isnt saying anything on the talent side, i think someone like gaga has a form of talent, but that isnt even important at this point because its all Image Driven with a catchy song as "the backdrop" lets not forget that, alot of artists now the music is their "backdrop" thats why music is not relevant at least in this "mainstream" because its not in the forefront, its 50% image 45% media push and then maybe 5% the song/music. Nicki is selling a look and an image, her music blends all together and has no overall effect.

clapping Thank You! No 'artist' out now is worth taking up any long-term memory space. Commit them to short-term memory and be amused by them while they are the flavor of the moment. The majority of them seem to be more focused on the business side of the music industry than the music side anyway. If they truly gave two shits about music, than their images would be secondary not equal to their output. She may be a great live performer with catchy songs; but, I can't imagine Lady Gaga without the outrageous costumes and odd images that she embraces and uses like a crutch to promote that music. If the image is the first thing people talk about, than the music obviously isn't the most important thing which is sad because you don't see them when you hit the 'play' button on your CD or mp3 player. Nothing amazing or commendable about being an 'image with a soundtrack'.

And in 5 years or so maybe less there will be a Nicki clone and she will be bitching like Kim is. I mean come on now, people are talking about KIM like she is fucking Aretha Franklin, i dont know whats more insane, the Praise and props given to Lil Kim or the whole "light" on this feud. Kim had her time when she was hot and unique, but for what she is/was doing there was no shelf life, lets be real, everyone thought when 50cent came out he was gonna be the next 2pac and shit, and now his music is about as relevant as a new Hanson Cd. When you sell on nothing but image, and lets be real, that is what first gets on Nicki, and after she broke through, thats ALL lil kim was about, her sex appeal, and Nicki is right in that trap, she already has a full magazine out with nothing but sexy eye candy pics in it, how is that relevant in your music? Be a fucking model if thats the case. I listened to Nicki's cd and i can even tell you a standout or memorable song that will last beyond the next few months, and that doesnt mean she sucks ass or anything like that, im just saying i played your cd and you arent doing anything that cant be outdone a few months from now, and then its all about your image and look and that will get you right where Kim is now, forgotten.

So what im basically saying is, this feud and nonsense is good chatter for the internet zombies who need all soundbytes and will make a great Vibe magazine issue, because its all games, i say this, u say that, it gets all over the net, we twitter hate back and forth etc....and who cares. Nicki is competing against no one, just like Rihanna has no competition and Katy Perry has no competition etc...thats why no one is growing or doing anything new or remotely relevant beyond this month.

That album pissed me off lmao , I tried Nicki.

You know what scares people? Success. When you don’t make moves and you don’t climb up the latter, everybody loves you because you’re not competition. I feel like, you are going to go down in history now as a sore loser, as opposed to going down in history as the Queen.

We all take from each, there’s nothing new under the sun. When you see Gaga, you see Madonna, but Madonna never hated on Gaga. Why in the black community we have to hate on each other instead of saying “thank you for showing me love. Thank you for keeping my name alive”. The same way she opened doors for me, I am now opening doors for her. Because nobody was even playing your music and you damn sure couldn’t get an interview to save your life. But now, you’re getting interviews and every time you get an interview, they are asking you about Nicki Minaj. We are helping each other…but if you are bitter. Get a Life!

Nicki got it WRONG! Un-provoked, Madonna has come after Teena Marie, Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson, Cher, Gwen Stefani, & Mariah Carey. At this point if she came after these girls who are young enough to be her daughter, she knows she would looked at as a bitter old bitch. But make no mistake Madonna doesn't really like anyone but MADONNA.

Nicki need to sit her fat ass down and shut up. Of course Kim is gonna come and tell her what's up because she's from Brooklyn and that's how we roll. If Nicki hadn't stole Kim's look, her wigs, her plastic, her swag, then I could see her saying something. You can't come out as a copy and try to diss the original. Plus Nicki's flow is hella weak!

Nicki Minaj: “Lil Kim Will Go Down In History As A Sore Loser”

Fri, Nov 19 2010 by Necole Bitchie | Filed Under: Celebrities

Nicki Minaj loaded up and shot venom on Lil Kim earlier today in an interview with Angie Martinez.

“She just really jumped out of the window and you got to be careful when you pick fights. That’s what I learned in this business. You just never know. I think people get me mistaken with like a real Barbie, they forget where I’m from. If I have to revert back I can…. and I will. Don’t play with me. It’s one of those moments when you say “Don’t play with me”. I respect you and love you. I’ve said it in every interview, time and time again. And if that’s not good enough for you mama, then it’s something deep rooted in you. Something is bothering you inside, that’s your insecurity bothering you. It’s not Nicki Minaj, it’s any girl that’s popping. She picked a fight with Foxy, then she picked a fight with Eve, then it was Miss Wallace, now it’s Nicki Minaj. Every time you’re in the news, you are getting at somebody. Put your music out and when I see your name on Billboard that’s when I’ll respond to you. Other than that. Goodbye!”

Ouch! Hold on there’s more…

You know what scares people? Success. When you don’t make moves and you don’t climb up the latter, everybody loves you because you’re not competition. I feel like, you are going to go down in history now as a sore loser, as opposed to going down in history as the Queen.

Leading into Nicki’s spiel on Lil Kim, she actually named her as one of the people who influenced her.

Or go over to HOT97.com to listen to the entire interview.

These girls need to get it together! What pisses me off the most is every other week, I hear a record with 5-6 hot male rappers on it (i.e Kanye’s Good Fridays, Swizz Beatz Monster Mondays) and all I can think is “why can’t the females get together and make ONE record together. NOT ONE DAMN record???? Too busy being Catty as hell and hating on the next bish that comes up. Just boils my damn blood.

Lil' Kim Vs. Nicki Minaj: Neon Wigs Fly In MC Feud

Drake declares Young Money femcee 'baddest chick ever to do it' after Kim mocks Minaj during show.

To Lil' Kim, it seems, the old adage that "imitation is the highest form of flattery" is better suited to theory than actual practice. The Brooklyn rapper has been lashing out at Lil Wayne protégé Nicki Minaj, most recently in a series of promo shows and an interview in which she claims the upstart femcee hasn't paid proper respect to the Queen Bee.

Kim first stung Nicki Minaj earlier this month at a concert in Buffalo, New York. The veteran lyricist alluded to the Young Money artist's penchant for neon-colored wigs like the one Kim donned in her '97 video for "Crush on You." Nicki is donning a cotton-candy-colored wig on the cover the latest issue of Vibe magazine.

"Y'all know who this is, I love starting trends," Kim told the crowd. "I'm going to another level. I love the wigs and everything but I'm so above them." And with that Kim took off her wig and tossed it into the audience.

Days later, at a show in Manhattan, Kim picked up her where she'd left off at her upstate New York show, this time joined by singer Ray J, who launched into the dis session.

"It's a lot of people biting her style and sh--," Ray said to roars of approval from concertgoers. "I ain't saying no names — but you know who."

"We love them," Kim said, joining in. "We just want them to pay homage, so we can all rock together. It's about respect: You respect me, I respect you. If you don't respect me, then f--- you."

To put it in professional wrestling terms,

Kim is in a role of:

[img:$uid]http://www.news4i.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/the_undertaker.jpg[/img:$uid]

Nicki is in the role of:

[img:$uid]http://wrestlingupdateonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Jeff_Hardy_Bio_0015.jpg[/img:$uid]

In order words, The Undertaker (Lil'Kim) wantes to beat some respect out of Jeff Hardy (Nicki Minaj)! I always said that hip-hop culture is too much like wrestling. And I've prove this point exactly.

I'm no fan of Nicki Vagina, but the woman comes across VERY confident in her interviews,,,,something Kim lacks, unfortunately.

Of course Nicki is very confident. She is THE only female mainstream rap artist out there with no female rivals OR female allies within her generation at the moment. And there are plenty of female rappers within Nicki's age group that would shut her down in a battle rap. But sadly, none of them have mainstream-level record deals.

she is not the only one out there.Trina has not stopped recording at all..and has tons more talent than Nicki. When Nicki 1st came out all anyone thought was "wow she jockin Lil'Kim".and she is.she made a comment on how Kim picked fights with Foxy, remy Ma and Eve...well Foxy and Remy started those fights and there was never a fiht with Eve...matter of fact they are friends. This whole thing reminds me of when Timberlake made some remarks about Prince in that Timbaland song..just who did he think he was doing that..just like Nicki.Kim is the standard all female mc's are measured against ..and for good reason..she is the best.Nicki has Lil Wayne goin for here and thats about it.

kim has been on more platinum and gold selling singles than any other female rapper.

kim is the ONLY one to go number one worldwide

What's with all these new "artists" engaging in these so-called "beefs" with older artists. If they have yet to contribute anything substantial to music besides their own hype, say nothing! Let your "music" do the talking. Not saying kim is legend status, but too many new names out there these days are talking reckless, just cuz they're getting play on mtv lol.

What's with all these new "artists" engaging in these so-called "beefs" with older artists. If they have yet to contribute anything substantial to music besides their own hype, say nothing! Let your "music" do the talking. Not saying kim is legend status, but too many new names out there these days are talking reckless, just cuz they're getting play on mtv lol.

why would an established artist attack a newbie when they have already made their mark ?
