Whitesnake:D Ok, please tell me there are some Whitesnake fans?
And i don't just mean the hits... i mean the albums! i was going through the albums i had by them. And Coverdale is one hell of a singer, and a great blues singer. He has a ton of soul for a white man much like Rod Stewart.
Besides that he has had some great musicians like John Sykes, Mick Moody, Steve Vai[ Even though Slip of the tongue was one of there worst albums.]
My personal favorite is lovehunter! the blues/hard rock on that album is just beautiful, that albums a masterpiece Medicine man, helps me through, lovehunter, mean business are some of there best
Trouble & Saints N Sinners where some great one's to.
Slide It In is when the band started getting more successful. But has some of there best song's like Love Ain't No Stranger, Slow N Easy. Standing in the shadow & Guility of love
There self titled had there infamous number 1 hit Here I Go Again. Originally on saints n sinners but this version went number 1. And the video... of course with Tawnee is very famous but a little overrated i think. This album has there biggest singles Here i go again, still of the night, is this love, give me all your love. But also has gems like Children of the night & Bad Boys
Slip of the tongue... is where they got a little to poppy IMO and event though the great Steve Vai is on guitar. The album is mediocre i hate the over produced remake of there hit Fool For Your loving. & silly song's like Kittens got claws are good for laughs but are not great song's. The hit off the album Now Your Gone i really like & The Deeper the love is an ok song, Wings of the storm is ok to. But overall over produced album, but i guess fun for nostalgic purposes.
Restless Heart is a great but hard to find album by them as well!

I am a fan, I saw them once in 1987 and once in 1988. He had an incredible touring band. Vivian Campbell and Adrian Vandenberg on guitar, Rudi Sarzo on bass, and Tommy Aldridge on drums. The first time I saw them was a Day On The Green at the Oakland Coliseum with Motley Crue headlining. I was never a big MC fan and I thought Whitesnake was much better.
I only have the Trouble , Slide It In, and Whitesnake CD's. I do not listen to them too much anymore but I do bust out the Whitesnake CD once in a while for old times sake. It was one of my favorites my junior year in high school, one of the few modern artists I listened to at the time. I was all about classic rock.
I do still listen to the Coverdale/Page CD though.

Ow the Coverdale/page cd rock's to! many good track's there
I Haven't listened top them in awhile either, but man they where a great band. The lineup with Adrain, Vivian & rudy was classic to! although sykes and moody will always be my fav.
Slip of the tongue was so disappointing... these guys had potential to put n even bigger output out Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

The acoustic version of "Here I Go Again" surprised me... it sounded timeless and classic, same with "Is This Love" They're good, not great but certainly good. "Help me through the day" is another tender moment. Don't forget his Deep Purple stuff like Mistreated, Stormbringer and Soldier of Fortune. From what I've heard of his recent live DVD's and Cd's he still sounds pretty damn good. His voice is smaller now so it sounds more like Robert Plant than ever... that's how I always heard his voice, a thicker\bigger version of Plant's...

And Burn of course... i liked his work with Purple very bluesy and rocking. And well, i think he might like that! considering Plant is one of his if not his biggest idol Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I'm a big fan of David Coverdale and the 84-88 era of Whitesnake. I don't like their early albums (too bland-too blues-rock in my ears) but Slide It In and 1987-Whitesnake were great. Slow N' Easy and Still of the Night are two of the best songs of all time, of any genre... I didn't like the album they recorded with Steve Vai, Slip of the Tongue, way too polished and glossed up...their 2008 comeback Good to the Bad was good, if certainly old-fashioned... It's a shame that Coverdale doesn't release more music these days, his voice is just mezmerizing...
