Janelle Monae on Lay it down

Did any one catch the show? I thinkit's cool that Cee-Lo and Janelle are good enough friends that they can can just call eachother. My only Problem with the show was that it was too short! I could of watched for another hour smile

So what did you think?

It was nice. It could've been longer and I'd have loved more performances from Janelle. I'm just hoping she's at one of the 3 shows I'm attending in December. I'm glad I found out about this show though. Cee-lo is so cool and he deserves all the props he gets!

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Thanks for the link. Love this giril. Can't stop singing her praises.

I love this quote from her from a recent interview.

"Sometimes I just have to say no, even if it hurts me politically or pisses off peers in the industry," Monae explains. "You have to do what's best for your brand and the thing that you believe in - the greater cause."

She gets it. She commited to her art. If she doesn't break through and become a superstar. Then the industry is officially dead.
