Jamie Foxx New Single featuring Drake

My kid sent me this Jamie Foxx's - "Fall For Your Type" - very strange song, the beat, the flow, the timing. confused I always check back to see if Fox can pull it together and do something with his talent. I'll check out the rest of the album but . . . . shrug

I was enjoying the song, and being amazed at how Jamie Foxx has really blossomed before our eyes with his whole music/singing career, and has done so with a lot of style and expertise. Then out comes DRAKE: disbelief

I think RAP may have run it's course with me. There hasn't been a rapper in recent years that hasn't basically just annoyed me, lol. It's like; they're moving all around, waving their hands, like they're saying something really, really important - and it just comes off as stupid to me. And I'm not hearing anything from any of them that feels relevant to me. I think I may have tried to hold on to the genre past MY expiration date, lol.

But what I really feel? It doesn't seem to me like every new song NEEDS to feature a guest rapper.

I wish Jamie would, STOP looking to cash in and rely on his talent. Somebody show recreate that scene from the movie, "Drop Squad", where they kidnapped a brother, who "forgot", where he came from, and tried to bring him back to reality. Only, instead of Eric La salle in the lead, they should kidnapp Jamie, MAKE him listen to, "Peep This", his debut and maybe this would help...smh.

Not bad but Drake made me turn the song OFF.

I don't get the Drake thing. Any mofo that can talk can do that nonsense.

They need to do an "unmix" of this song...meaning take the damn rap shit out and just leave the song as is. The song actually sounds better than that other mess he released with his last couple of albums. PDogz is right, why does there ALWAYS have to be a hip hop cameo on an R&B single??? disbelief The mess is played out and boring now. And everytime I see Drake he just reminds me of someone trying too hard to be this hard mofo.... bored2

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Check out J.Cole he's a new rapper I like you might not like him though because he waves his hands around LOL but he actually is saying something in his raps.

Drake's solo version (before he gave the song to Jamie) is better IMO

My nephew is beating me up right now, because I was telling him about how on this thread it was recommended that I should listen to J. Cole, when he not so politely reminded me that he suggesting I listen to J. Cole nearly a year ago, lol.

Okay Okay! I'll try harder to keep up, lol.

His 90's debut album, "Peep This", was THAT decent R&B album. It all when downhill from there.
